After we all left the resteraunt we decided we were going to go back to Tessa's house to plan what we we're going to wear for our girl's night. Since she has a closet about the size of my bedroom, she's letting us pick out one of her outfits that we can borrow. That's the thing I really love about her.  She can be so giving sometimes, way more than most girls are, and she seriously has the sweetest heart.

I know that she's rich and her parents make tons of money, but that doesn't mean she's a happy person deep inside. She's never been fully happy with her life, and I understand that, mostly because her and her mom aren't really as close as they used to be. I wish I could help her change that though, but here's the thing. She won't let me.

Once we park Spencer's car outside of her house is when we all are in smiles and laughter, ready to have the most amazing and funest night of our whole lives. "I can't wait for later!" Tessa exclaims, tossing the keys to me as I stare at her in confusion.

"What do I need these for?" I ask.

"I don't feel like carrying them," she grins, skipping up her driveway as Juliana giggles behind me.

"You lazy shit."

"Wow, she's way too funny today," Julie says to me, linking her arm through mine.

Now I'm starting to feel guilty because she thinks I'm a true friend, when I had sex with Blaze last night. Is that right? No, obviously. But I can't tell her. Not yet. "More like happy."

"That's exactly what I mean!"

"Something's definitely up with her for sure," I say.

"I hear you, smutface!" Tessa shouts, looking over her shoulder at us.

Juliana laughs. "Calm down! We're only kidding around with you."

"I know," she tells us once we reach her front door. She knocks and nobody answers. "Crap."

"Are they home?" I ask, her eyes narrowing.

"Can't tell."

"Why don't you have your house key with you?"

"Because I didn't think I would even need it," she anxiously lets out.

"There's a car in the garage though, guys," Juliana quickly tells us. "It's red."

"That's my mom," Tessa says to her. "What the hell."

"Knock again," I offer, her slamming her fists against the door as it finally opens about a minute later.

It's her mother, frowning at us. "I was taking a nap, honey. I'm sorry," she explains to Tess.

"It's okay, don't worry about it," she answers, slightly showing her a smile. "I thought something happened."

"No, nothing happened," her mom tells her, rubbing her eyes with her hands. "Come on in."

"Kay," Tessa sighs, us all walking inside as her mother closes the door behind us. "We're thinking about going out tonight, so we'll be here for a while until later and then we're going to like, head out or whatever."

"Uh, isn't that supposed to be a question, Tess?" she crosses her arms in irritation.

"Someone's grumpy," she mutters under her breath.

"Can you please just ask me nicely. You've been going out a lot, and you don't care about what I have to say about it either. I am your mother," she rushes out. "You need to start respecting me."
