BOOK TWO

Juliana is slowly drifting further and further away, as the days go by. School's coming around the corner as bad memories come flashing back. She's still going to parties, using drugs, and revolving her life around Blaze. But what happens when he just wants best for her? What will Juliana do when she realizes she just can't handle the pain...

"Mickey," I suddenly hear, blackness filling my sight. "Hey..." The voice gets louder, as I feel myself shaking, my eyes quickly fluttering open.

The minute my vision is no longer blurred, is when I see Juliana's face leaning really close to mine, which causes me to narrow my eyes a little. "What?" I ask in a whisper, her sitting on the bed and staring blankly at me.

"I just wanted to make sure you were alright, because I'm leaving," she lets me know.

"You're leaving?"

She nods, as I rub my eyes and let out a sharp breath. "Yeah, I sort of have to. My mom's on her way here right now, and she actually should have been here a few minutes ago," she tells me.

"God, what time is it?" I question, in a sigh. "I feel terrible."

"Well, I mean we did get pretty blazed last night," Juliana laughs, standing up as I glance over at her, as she looks out my window.

"Oh, true..."

"Speaking of Blaze." She turns to stare at me. "He called."

"Yeah?" I ask her, sitting up and resting my back against the headboard. "And what did he say?"

Juliana stares at me for a long time, and then slightly shrugs. "He wanted you to call him back," she bleakly answers. "Don't ask why. He just told me he wanted to talk to you about," she hesitates.

"About what, Jules?" I anxiously clear my throat, playing with my tongue ring.

"I'm guessing, about the situation you guys are in right now. About you possibly being pregnant," she says, as I swallow and say nothing. "Call him back when you're ready."

"Okay..." I mutter.

"Oh," she rushes out, after gazing back out the window. "My ride's here."

"Alright," I let out, clearing my throat again after hearing how raspey it is. "Well, I'll see you later, maybe?"

"Hopefully," Juliana says, with a small smile, but I can tell it's fake. "I'll call you laterish."

"Sounds like a plan," I breathe out, getting out of bed and accepting her hug. "Um, Julie? Thanks for being here for me."

"No need to thank me," she quickly says, smiling after pulling back, about to walk away.

"Wait--" I loudly tell her, as she silently looks at me in response. "Um... Jules. I have a question for you."

She frowns, and crosses her arms, us both hearing a beep coming from outside. "What is it, Mickey?"

"Why don't you hate me?" I simply ask, her looking shocked, and confused. "I had sex with the boy you love... Doesn't that upset you?"

"Yeah, it does. But what really upsets me is that you both didn't have the guts to use protection," she carefully states, as I swallow hard and don't know how to reply. "But hey, you two were in 'the moment'. He tends to cast that emotion and mood on girls."

"It was my fault," I rush out, her shaking her head and laughing under her breath. "Really."

"You're a terrible liar," she says, staring at me in anger now, but like she's trying to hide it.
