Chapter 51 [Juliana] Finally Giving Up . . . *

1 Week Later

"Please don't stop the music, music, MUSIC!" Juliana screams along to the song, me putting my hands on her hips and pushing my crotch against her ass.

"You're mad sexy tonight, babe," I mumble with my lips against her ear.

She turns to face me and wraps her arms around my neck once she see's that it's me. "You, are, late! Supposed to be here like fifteen minutes ago!"

"Spencer got pulled over. Almost got a ticket til we talked the cop out of it," I honestly explain, resting my hands on her lower back, and then pressing my lips softly against hers. And then I trace her lips with my tongue, her inviting me in as the kiss deepens, and feels like it still means something. You know those kisses where they're just for the hell of it, because you're supposed to makeout with the person you're dating? Well I hate them types. I kiss her like there's no tomorrow.

She pulls back and yells into my ear, "Let's go to the hottub room!"

"There's a hotub?"

"Yeah, of course there is. Why do you think I called and told you to come here?"

"Uhh," I kind of hesitate. "Because I'm your boyfriend..."

"No. Well I guess that's part of it--"

"You seem different. For the past few days you just seem, different," I barely get out of my mouth, her staring into my eyes for only a few seconds. But then she looks away, around at all of the other kids dancing in the room around us. "Did you hear me?"

"Huh?" She loudly and quickly rushes out, still not meeting my eyes though.

"I said you seem different!" I shout over the music.

"Don't get what you're trying to say," she yells, finally looking into my narrowed and confusion filled eyes. The hell... Yeah she does. Just doesnt want to admit it. "Let's just dance."

"But I want to talk to you Julie--"

"Hey brah!" Is yelled into my ear as I turn to the side and spot Spencer standing only about a foot away from us, with a huge smile spread across his face.

"Sup?"

"Hey Spence!" Juliana exclaims, laughing and grinning with him. "Whatchu got there?"

He holds up a small plastic baggy filled with small white pills, and shows us a wink. "You guys want one? Haven't had one for a while."

"Are they E's?" I ask, him nodding. "Nah. I'm good."

"Sure," Julie says without looking at me, as he hands one to her and she pops it into her mouth, swallowing it with her spit. Not even I can do that. I hate that feeling... Maybe she's used to it?

"Anyway, where's Mickey?" Spencer asks both of us as we shrug.

"Right here!" She exclaims, standing next to Jace with his arm wrapped around her shoulder. "Are these E's?"

"Yeah. Take one," Spence says, handing one to her by placing it on her palm.  Then he looks over at Jace and we watch him shake his head.

"Nope. I'm good."

"Uh, ok..."

I catch Juliana starting to walk away, through the crowd of kids, so I tell everyone I'm going and I quickly follow after her. Because we need to talk.

"How come you seem so down all of a sudden?" I ask him, as he leans his back against the wall in the empty dark hallway. "I thought we were going to the room with the hottub . . ."
