      Janel and me hold our arms up over our heads, jumping up and down like everyone else to the pounding beat of the music, as the metal suddenly gets brutal. It gets so loud that for a few seconds I have to hold onto and cover my ears, and that's when I feel her hands resting on my hips. I notice her slight grin, and stare into her eyes as the stobe lights quickly flashes on and off, making everything look like it's in slow motion.

    Or maybe that's just completely my heart doing it's job, since we both just popped a pill, and of course I happily took it not knowing what it even is. Right when I'm about to lean my lips close to hers is when I'm interrupted.

"Mickey!" My name is shouted from behind me, as I slowly turn around to see who it is. "Over here!" I look to the side and spot Juliana and Blaze walking over to us.

"Hey Jules," I happily smile, and I stop dancing, but for some reason her face looks terrified. 

"Um. . . Hi," she whispers so that the only way I could tell what she said was by reading her mouth.

"What's up? Where did you both run off to?" I ask her, winking and laughing afterwards. "Maybe perhaps an empty room, or something to that matter?"

She grins but for a strange reason, it looks forced. "Um. . ." She hesitates as I slightly frown.

"Are you okay?" I loudly speak over the music as she nods, staring over my shoulder as Janel stands beside me.

"Hey guys," Janel exclaims, widely smiling, which gets me to smile again too. She's the cutest girl ever, but I can't help but wonder what Jace is doing at this very second. "Where'd you go? To talk or something...?"

Blaze quickly nods, his face remaining blank before he slightly grins. "Yeah, to talk."

Janel's smile fades before she puckers her lips and narrows her eyes, almost as if she's studying my friends. "Mmm," she sighs over the music. "And what about, exactly?"

"Nothing!" Juliana snaps, offensively, before Blaze shoots her a warning stare.

He looks back at me and grins, slightly shrugging before releasing a laugh. "Julie just got a scare outside, from a kid with a zombie costume on. Scared the living fuck out of her," he explains as Janel silently stares at him, right into his eyes. 

"Is that the reason why she's so jumpy and startled?" Her voice comes out deep and hoarse, as Juliana's face drops, and she cringes.

"I'm not jumpy," she quickly lets out, standing behind Blaze a bit.

"Babe, why don't you and Janel go get me and Mickey some drinks?" He asks her, glancing deep into her eyes as she stares back into his, looking confused and unsure.

I silently part my lips and raise my eyebrow, smiling when Janel looks over at me. 

"But Blaze," Juliana starts to say until Janel suddenly interrupts her from finishing what she was on the verge of saying to him.

"You're not mad at her for cheating on you with that teacher?" All of our eyes widen in shock, and I'm completely stunned, wondering if that really just happened.
