"We're doing what?" I question with a laugh into my house phone, getting out of bed and walking over to stand in front of my window.

"Camping! We're going on a camping trip," Juliana exclaims through the reciever, sounding way too loud at this time in the morning.

"You totally just woke me up. It's like eight..."

"It's almost three o'clock," she says, as I shoot my eyes over to my alarm clock and realize she's actually right. "Now pack a bag, all of us are going on a camping trip. Oh and Jace will be at your house in like a half an hour, just for a heads up. And also--"

"Woah woah..." I rush out, finally remembering that it's my birthday today. "First of all, I think I heard you wrong. Did you just say Jace?"

"Uh, clearly! The kid who wants to take you out. He called Blaze cause this is the number you gave him he said," she babbles as I cover my face with my hand in denial.

"Wait. So, Jace is what?--"

"Picking you up, and driving here to Blaze's so he can follow us up to the mountain we're we are going to be camping out at," Julie explains as I deeply sigh.

"We're going camping?" I blurt out in laughter, not knowing how this is going to go.

"Yes hoe, so get the hell ready! Spencer's bringing a chick too," she tells me. "It's going to be so much fun! Spence even got some shrooms and ecstacy pills, and weed. It'll be the best birthday ever for you Mickey, I promise."

"Thanks, Jules," I quietly say to her, sitting on the end of my bed, knowing in my head that tonight is definitely going to get wild. And I'm so ready for it!

It takes me about ten minutes to pack my pink jordans bag, knowing that we're only going to be gone for today and maybe a little bit of tomorrow. I grab a pair of my light blue ripped jeans, along with a black rock and roll t-shirt, and then I skip happily to the bathroom. I toss my clothes onto the sink counter, and I search through the drawer to find some matches and a pack of cigarettes.

I light one up and smoke half of it, while the water runs on hot, and after I rest it on the ashtray half way through I strip off my clothes. Hopping in the shower with a smile on my face, I close my eyes and relax as the water washes down my body, the heat sending me into an amazing sensation, that feels the best.

I get dressed quickly afterward and let my hair stay wet so it will dry to be naturally wavey, and I do my makeup in a rush because I know Jace will be here soon. God, is he seriously coming with us? This is crazy... I haven't talked to him for the past two days, and now all of a sudden he's coming on a camping trip with me and my friends? This shall be fun... and extremely awkward.

By the time I hear a horn beep loudly from outside, along with blasting dubstep music, is when I know he's here! I wonder who Spencer is bringing along with him... Hm, strange. I shrug my bag over my shoulders and run out of my room, noticing my mom actually sitting on the couch watching TV. I slow down my pace and stare cautiously at her, thinking maybe I'm just daydreaming that she's here, until her eyes rise and connect with mine.

"Uh, hey?" I question in pure disbelief.

"Baby!" My mother gasps, standing up and rushing over to me. "Happy birthday."

"Thanks," I mutter, barely hugging her back. "Wasn't really expecting you to be here."

"And why not?"
