The day has gone by miserably slow. It’s been five days, I’m back in school, and Lawrence is “making it up to me.” And even though I shouldn’t be excited about this whole extravaganza, I am. And it’s all I can think about.
You know when something awesome is about to happen? Whether it’s the day before, two hours before, or ten minutes, you feel so excited, you’re gonna pee your pants? Well, that’s how I’m feeling right now. It’s all because of Lawrence. What can I say? I love him. But not because he’s popular or nice looking. It’s cause he gets me. Hell, he can read my mind! Whenever we have a conversation, he knows what I want to say.
Checking the clock, I curse mentally. It’s :3:50! I’ve got ten minutes!
Lawrence is staring now; the intensity of his gaze makes my body fill with excitement. He’s looking at me! Mrs. Pelfery, our science teacher, drones on, though no one, including me, cares. Finally, the bell rings and Lawrence jumps from his seat and quickly walks to my desk.
“Put your stuff away and go to the art room. I’ll meetcha there.” With a wink, he leaves my side. Oh. My. God. Lawrence Howard just winked at me!!
Faster than ever, I dash through the crowded hallway. A few kids yell curse words but I don’t really care. I’m hanging out with Lawrence, my dream guy, today!
The art room is dark and freezing. Where the hell is he?! Oh no. this is some prank again. Before I get something else in my face, I turn on my lights.
Nothing was there. Well, except for a new fresh painting. I lifted my eyes to the artwork.
