Mi Princesa

Part Two - Chapter Twenty-Nine: The Little Princess

Fernando smiled lifting Bojan out of the car and balancing the infant on his hip, he whispered comfortingly to the little boy while Nora stuck close to his side; there were so many people watching them right now. 

Cuddling into his father, Bojan looked around peeking at the people that were watching him with curiosity; it was the first time they were really seeing the young prince since he had been born. 

Nora held onto Fernando's hand as they slowly made their way towards the hospital entrance, she peeked at the annoying people calling out to her and her father knowing that they were all standing out in the cold for this. 

Fernando encouraged the two children to wave for the crowds and smile, he waited a moment for them to take their pictures before he headed into the hospital with the children. 

It was a relief to be out of the sight of all those eyes, of course people were watching them in the hospital but it wasn't like they were being expected to act like monkeys on show. 

"Where mama?" Bojan asked quietly, eyeing the strange place around them as his father headed for the lift so that they could head up to the maternity ward, he didn't like this place and wanted his mother. 

Nora kept up with Fernando, she stayed close to his side knowing that she couldn't wait to meet her new baby sister; she had been a little disappointed when she had woken up with just her mother there for Christmas morning. 

"She's here," Fernando reassured softly, he nodded to the people that he passed and it didn't take him long at all to reach the private hospital room that Vanessa was using. 

There were a lot of people about and they were all preparing for the moment that Vanessa and Victoria were discharged; it was a long day and everyone had been wonderful since Vanessa had gone into labour. 

Stepping into the hospital room, Fernando smiled at the sight of Vanessa resting in the hospital bed with Victoria in her arms; she looked refreshed and he guessed she'd had a shower since he'd left.

"Mama," Bojan called excitedly, he wiggled in Fernando's arms wanting to be put down so he could rush over to his mother and greet her; Nora followed quietly peeking up at the small bundle in Vanessa's arms. 

Fernando settled the two children on the bed, he was so happy that things had worked out well even if Victoria had been born on Christmas day; it was going to make things interesting from now on. 

"What that?" Bojan asked peeking at the thing in his mother's arms, he was a little annoyed that she wasn't cuddling him and fussing like she usually did; he blinked at the blanket as it moved revealing a small arm. 

"This is your baby sister, Victoria," Vanessa explained to him softly, she wasn't entirely sure how Bojan was going to react; she watched her son closely, shifting the blanket around Victoria so that he could see her better. 

Nora fussed excitedly at the sight of her new baby sister, she couldn't wait to play with her when she was older and show her off; Fernando watched his eldest pleased that someone looked pleased about this. 

"Icky," Bojan mumbled staring at Victoria, he tilted his head curiously for a moment watching her; his parents shared a confused look before they figured out that he was attempting to say Victoria's name. 

Fernando watched his children, he couldn't believe how well his life had worked out and he wouldn't change a thing; he was so happy that they had made it this far and he had such a wonderful family.
