Alexis looked around the school cafeteria with lazy eyes. Oh God she was so exhausted. Between working and school...and her dreams, she doesn’t know how she lasted this long on her feet. She had started working Monday at her step dad's restaurant and this afternoon would be her third day.

It was a kind of restaurant that teens could come and relax. It was small place but big enough to host a large crowd. She and a couple others around the same age as her work as waitresses while Jake work in the kitchen watching dishes. Jake hated working there but he was doing it for her. He was just the best.

She had worked nonstop from the past two days without much breaks and going home around nine in the nights. It was just Wednesday and she was already tired to the bone. But she couldn't blame it all on the job. Half of it can be contributed her dreams. They had gotten more intense and every time she was about to climax she woke up. The worst part about those dreams was that after she wakes up from them, she couldn't fall back asleep, no matter how hard she tried. It leaves her exhausted, with her body feeling slouchy and heavy to carry around. Not to mention her eyelids. She could hardly keep them open, it was so bad she had to turn to energy drinks and those had helped a bit.

'Hi Alexis,' she became full alert when she heard Lucas’ voice behind her. Ever since Monday Lucas had been greeting her… nicely…and had been acting civilized around her. It was almost like he was trying to be friends with her. But she don't trust him one bit and she always responded with suspicion. No matter how he acted like he wanted to be her friend she couldn't help thinking that he wanted something from her. 'Don't be like that baby, I'm just saying hi. No need to look all suspicious.' he said with a deep laugh when she gave him the redeye, though secretly happy to hear him laugh.

To say his laugh send tremors of pleasure through her body was an understatement. Apart of her was happy that she was the reason for his smile that she can at least account for a fraction of his happiness. 'Hi. You know I can't understand you. Why are you being nice to me? What do you want from me? If you think you’re gonna get a repeat performance of what happen last Friday, you have a next thing coming.' Now why did she have to go and mention that? She had been trying really hard to forget it but every time she sees him she is reminded of that particular scene.

She gasped when she the desire heat his eyes but he quickly covered it up and a smirk appeared on his face. 'Can't stop thinking about it I see. Don't worry; I won't be dragging you off like some cave man again. I'll be more subtle next time.' He added with a satisfied smile on his too perfect lips. Alexis wanted to smack it right off his face, then something he said registered. 'And what the hell do you mean by next time?' she stop short of just yelling the words.

'Don't worry. You will more than want me to.' he replied with the same smirk fuelled with a charming smile. That angered her to no end because she was well aware of how true his words were. If he were to go all ‘cave man’ on her again she didn't think she would mind much. And she didn't like that one bit.

'Don't flatter yourself. I wouldn't sleep with you if you were the last man on earth.' she snapped back at him causing him to give her one of those cocky grins.

'Who said anything about sleeping?' He whispered seductively. Alexis couldn't help but blush profoundly at his open flirting. Face feeling like it was on fire she glared at him. She didn't want him to make her like him. Not knowing what to say or even how to flirt back-even if she wanted to- she just told him to shut up causing him to laugh even more. Alexis couldn't help but smile at their open bantering. It was so relaxing and she was happy to not be fighting with him for a change. The light mood was...nice.

Lucas followed her to the front of the lunch line where they bought their lunch and made their way to their seats.

'Why don't you sit with us today?' Alexis heard Lucas ask when she made to go to her usual seat, where Kara and the other girls always sit. Everything inside her was screaming to say yes but she didn't think she will be good company. 'No, I can’t, maybe next time.' She didn't want to risk falling asleep at the table. She couldn't bring herself to talk when she would prefer to just sit and listen to the girls talk. They understand better and plus she didn't want Lucas to see her at her lowest. Waving at him, she made her way to her seat. They girls were already there chatting away and she sat and make quick work of her lunch.
