Wisdom Teeth

It was two days after Thanksgiving and we'd be going back to LA in two days. Today was probably the funniest day ever. Megan got her wisdom teeth out. We were seated in the waiting room. It was me, Chase, and Scott. The twins and Kyle were with Carly and mom. Megan was getting the surgery now and Scott had got his phone ready to take a video. The doctor told us that we'd probably want to take a video. Chase couldn't wait to see his sister act like an idiot. Chase had his head in my lap and I rubbed his arm like I use to do to Megan. The nurse pushed a very sleepy Megan on a wheel chair out into the room. She was wrapped in a blanket and she had two cloths on each side on her mouth. Her dirty blonde hair was pulled into a small ponytail and she was wearing a sweater and sweatpants. "Daddy!" Megan said tiredly making me laugh as she reached her arms toward me.
"Hey sweetie" I said as I started to push the wheel chair. We headed towards the car and Scott kept recording.
"My face hurts" Megan mumbled as Chase covered his mouth from laughing.
"That's because you got your wisdom teeth out" Scott said. Megan gave him a shocked expression making us laugh.
"What?!" She asked still in shock. Scott opened the car door as I helped Megan stand up. Tom will laugh so hard when I send him this video. Megan leaned against me as I helped her into the backseat. I buckled her seat belt for her and she poked my nose and started laughing.
"Boop!" She said laughing. I tried so hard not to laugh. Once I had her all set and Chase was in his seat, I closed the door and went to the drivers seat. I started the car and Scott continued to record the video.
"I wanna see what I look like" Megan said as she reached for her phone that was in Scott's pocket.
"I don't think that's a good idea, Meg" I said.
"Too late" Scott said as Megan screamed.
"I LOOK LIKE A CHIPMUNK!" She yelled making me laugh, "why is my face so fat?"
"You got your wisdom teeth out" I said looking at her through the mirror.
"You want ice cream?" Scott asked and Megan nodded. Once she got her ice cream, I gave her a spoon.
"I can't feel my tongue" she said as she tried to eat the ice cream, "did they take out my tongue?!"
"No. They didn't take your tongue out" I said laughing as she stuck out her tongue to see if it was there. Scott turned on the radio and that made her stop talking about her tongue. She tried to sing but it came out muffled. They were Disney songs. I couldn't help but laugh when Megan gave up trying to sing. Soon Megan had fallen asleep, I looked up at the mirror and pictured that little 2 year old who use to sit in the back seat singing Disney songs like a crazy kid. I remember when I showed her The Little Mermaid for the first time. Her eyes were glued to the screen the whole time. I missed the past. Sometimes I wish Aubrey was still here but then I remember what she did to us. I thought that I'd never fall in love. I thought I loved Aubrey. When we got to the house, I was the one who had to help Megan out. She was still asleep. I wish I could turn back the clock and make her be that little 3 year old again. I picked her up and carried her inside. I laid her down on the bed when I got to her room. I kissed her good night before walking back downstairs. I pulled out my phone to see 2 missed calls.

Aubrey (2 missed calls)

I called her back and waited for an answer. I waited for awhile. The phone continued to ring but then someone answered.
"Hello?" Aubrey asked.
"Hey. Why did you call?" I asked.
"Chris, I listened to what Megan told me at the park... I'm sorry... I really mean that when I say it-"
"No. Aubrey, you lied to me. I thought you loved me. You didn't care to share that you were hiding another child from me. Sometimes I wonder if Faith and Kaiden are even my kids" I said.
"I know you're mad. Faith and Kaiden are your kids. I don't know who Willow's dad is" she said.
"That explains a lot!" I said before hanging up. I was really mad. I didn't even notice Chase sitting at the table. I looked over at him and he had a chocolate bar.
"Chocolate?" He asked holding it out to me. I couldn't help but take a piece with a smile.
