I swear, I must be socially inept or something. Yesterday, at school, my friend in gym had to get her phone, after she just introduced me to one of her friends, so we were just kinda left there. So, she's a sweet girl, and she's trying to be nice, so she asks me "How are you?"

I wish I was kidding, but I responded with "I'm here."

>If you know something's gonna be awkward before it happens, try to prevent it by making conversation. Ask questions to get to know them, and don't be afraid to put yourself out there.

>If you're in a public place, and don't really want to talk to people, use your phone, and look busy. Maybe even call one of your friends, so it looks like you shouldn't be interrupted.

>If you're on a date, and it's really quiet and awkward, make conversation. Any topic. If they're just naturally quiet, it's not your fault.

>Ex boyfriends/girlfriends. With exes, it can be hard to move past it. Depending on if you guys want to be friends, or never speak again, then there's different ways you can approach them.

qotd: alright guys. it's about to get personal. comment your most awkward moment.

aotd: this was my most recent, and i'm cringing over imagining it in my head right now. so, i was in gym, and our warmup is running from one gym wall to the other, back and forth. so, on the last lap, there were these bitches, you know the kind, the ones who stay in groups and crowd up space, and don't even do the exercises, just are kinda there, were right in front of me, not spread out at all. so, one of their sweatpants catches on my sneaker, and i fucking hit the ground, face first. according to my friend, the sound of me hitting the ground was loud enough to be heard across the entire gym, and everybody stopped to look. so, my awkward self just kinda stayed down on the ground, hoping to decompose or something. once i kinda got the grasp of the situation after lying down for like a minute, i started laughing, and practically flew into my friend's arms, and he was worried if i hit my head too hard because i was laughing, and it was overall one of my most graceful moments.

why am i sharing this
