-*Your POV*-

You were talking to Alya when Cat Noir's Miraculous started beeping. Alya gasped and whipped her phone out.
"Alya, no." You groaned and put the phone back on the table, standing up and taking Cat Noir by the hand.
"Goddess, what are you doing?" Cat asked as you dragged him outside and shivered. There was a cool wind outside, but you managed to drag Cat into an alley. You walked in through the thick darkness and shoved him behind a trash can.
You could sense his green eyes on you. Darn cat vision. You thought and Cat opened his mouth.
"It's fine, I didn't think it would last anyway." You tried to sound like you weren't disappointed, but disappointment shone through your tone. As you turned away, you felt someone grab your hand.
         "Cat-"
"Just wait outside the alley. I'll charge up my kwami and then I'll come back, I promise." You sighed.
"Kitty, you don't have to do that. It's fine, trust me. I'm used to it."
"Being let down?" Cat ran his thumb over the back of your blue glove. "I promised you that I would give you the best night of your life. That for once, you wouldn't go home with a frown. And I intend to keep that promise."
       "But-"
"I'll be back in a minute. Cats honor." You couldn't help but smile as you agreed and stood outside the alley, half in the shadows and waited. As you stood out there, hugging your arms around your torso to bide against the cold, your thoughts drifted to Adrien. Why did you miss him so much?
Maybe it was because you spent so much time with him... But you spent a lot of time with Cat too, well, in Luna Moon form, that is. Knowing that you had to make a decision, you took a deep breath. What was that saying that they always said?
If you truly loved the first one, you wouldn't have fallen in love with the second? But they both had stolen parts of your heart.
As you were basking in the dark hollows of your mind, you didn't notice it when Cat emerged out of the shadows. All of a sudden, Cat placed a hand on your shoulder and you realized that you had been talking to yourself, and you were on the verge of tears.
"Hey, are you alright?" Cat's eyes showed nothing but concern and half of you wanted to jerk your shoulder away, but the other half wanted him to comfort you.
No, I'm not okay, but no one else seems to care about my feelings and can't see through my fake smiles except for you and Adrien. I don't know why you two both care about me so much, it's so abnormal. My feelings are a mess because I think that I'm in love with both of you and it's killing me not knowing what to do. So no, I'm not okay. But there's nothing anyone can do to save me from this oblivion of negative and messed up thoughts.
"I'm fine," you tried your best to make it sound like it wasn't a lie.

.......... ...........

-*Cat Noir/Adrien's POV*-

She was lying. I could tell by the way her eyes swam with thoughts and feelings locked away that didn't want to be noticed and her smile was a fake, it didn't reach her eyes.
I wrapped my arm around her waist, and before she could object, scooped her up and jumped up onto the roofs, running towards the Eiffel Tower. Talking to her in the dance would be too public and she would whisper the entire thing to me. This way, she could tell me whatever she wanted and I wouldn't even think about telling anyone.
She had kept her promise about my secrets, so it was only fair for me to return.
"Cat-" she tightened her grip around my neck and pressed her forehead against my shoulder. I jumped up onto a ledge and carefully lowered down onto the platform, resting Y/n in my lap. Her arms were still locked tight around my neck, but she pulled back and smiled, for once, it wasn't a fake smile.
         "Thank you."
        "For what?"
"For caring about me so much, even though you shouldn't." She shook her head, smugly, yet, her eyes still were messed up. Not physically, but mentally. Dark emotions swam everywhere.
"Goddess, if you weren't worth caring about, you wouldn't exist." I pulled her in for a hug, and she spoke, her voice muffled in my hair. "Sometimes I wish I didn't exist." That did it for me, I pulled back and cupped her face in my hands.
"Look at me." I ordered and she did, her eyes showing so many feelings that if you spent one day inside her head, you would fall the very first step you took. "I don't know exactly why you wish you didn't exist and I don't quite understand why you feel that way. But I do know that I care greatly about you and if you weren't here... Promise me that you won't ever wish that again, okay?"
Her eyes widened, but went back to their normal size when she, not whispered, but spoke, "I promise." Then she smashed her lips onto mine.
At first I was taken aback, but them I returned the gesture by deepening the kiss. I wanted her to understand how I felt, I wanted her to get the notions and the feelings as I tried to slip them through her lips. I wanted her to know that she could and would talk to me when she needed someone to listen. Her lips pressed against  mine in a kiss that wasn't too forced or not enough passion into it, but just the right type. I could feel her feelings surging through her, as they reached my lips and I understood. She wanted to talk to me, but she was scared that it would only make things worse. She wanted that desperately, but she was so broken she didn't know if anyone would mend the broken pieces. Of her mind and of her heart.
I could taste her blueberry Chapstick, and her mouth tasted sweet. I wanted to cherish this moment forever, until she pulled back gently, and gazed into my eyes lovingly.
            "Kitty?"
           "Yes, Goddess?"
"Thanks for keeping your promise." She confused me. Which promise exactly was she talking about?
         "Huh?"
She giggled and that made me smile. I loved it when she smiled. Especially when it wasn't a fake.
"This has been one of the most  amazing nights of my life. So thank you."
"Oh," I grinned like an idiot and played with a strand of her hair lights, the mirrors reflecting the city lights onto my costume. "I'm just happy that I'm with you."

We were outside her house by ten sharp and Y/n kept stalling to keep me waiting. I could tell she didn't want me to go, because every time I turned around, she grabbed my hand.
It got to the point where I kissed her on the cheek and was halfway across the street when I felt her gaze still on me. I turned my head, and saw her halfway through the door, and she waved.
          She was smiling.
And it wasn't a fake one.
And I knew, that I would never forget how beautiful she looked right then and there, just standing in the doorway, her lace up boots showing, waving her hand...
         And smiling.
