Upside Down

-*Your POV*-

You couldn't believe that the weekend had gone by so fast. On Friday, Cat took you to the Valentines Day dance and you two had a secret little rendezvous (*wink wink* *nudge nudge*) and you had somehow managed to come home looking the exact same as you had left. It wouldn't have mattered anyway, your mom had been passed out on the couch, The Fault in Our Stars resting on her lap.
You had covered her up with a blanket and then set everything you had on back where it was, and slipped into silk PJs and crashed, your mind still happily set on Cat.
Huh, guess that promise really was working.
Now it was Monday, you were in PhyEd, and the unit was on tumbling and trapeze, which was optional. The trapeze, not the tumbling. You needed a partner as well, and who else would have grabbed your waist other than Adrien?
          Not that you were complaining.
Your heart still skipped a beat whenever you were with him, which was actually to be expected because your heart had been split in half and he held a key to part of it. The song 'Let Her Go' was playing through the loud speakers and you had convinced Adrien to do the trapeze with you since no one else was on there.
Only miss a song when it starts to snow
Only know you love her when you let her go
         And you let her go
"Adrien, can you help me?" You asked and grabbed onto Adrien's hand, after he lifted you up onto the chalky bar. Your eyes were dead set on the bar before you, as you balanced on the one you were standing on.
"You sure you're okay with doing this? You could fall, Y/n."
"Are you telling me that you're scared that I'll get hurt?"
"Yes, actually I am. I care about you, you know."
    That was so sweet...
"Thanks, Adriekins. I care about you, too." And you meant it. You could sense Adrien smiling, and you gently pulled your hand away and held them out on both sides for balance. You stood there balancing for a second, then sprang. You dove, like you would off a diving board, and landed on your hands on the floor, then pushed off your hands and hooked your legs over the top bar and hung upside down, your heels digging into your back and smiled down at Adrien, who held out his hand in a fist bump and you gratefully hit it.
"Bravo, Y/n! If you and Adrien keep up astounding performances like this, you'll both get A+s!" The gymnastics teacher was applauding and you sent her a happy smile. She left after scribbling a footnote on her clipboard and left to go and see how the other kids were doing on the blue mats that smelled like year-old gym socks and sweat.
Adrien turned back to you and walked closer to you, his nose inches away from your chin. Your legs were starting to burn and your head was starting to throb from too much pressure and blood but you couldn't feel anything when you were staring into his gorgeous eyes.
Another boy's eyes popped into your brain but you shook your head and kept staring.
"Hey, Y/n?" Adrien asked, and you didn't even notice how close his lips were to yours, almost brushing against them. His breath felt warm on your face.
          "Yeah?"
"Can I kiss you?" Blood was rushing to your brain so you weren't thinking straight when you nodded yes. Adrien leaned in and you felt yourself grip onto the bar with one hand, but one fell onto his cheek.
He pushed his lips against yours, gently at first, but gradually increasing. It was like Cat Noir's kiss all over again, except all of the feelings weren't shared yet. You could feel sparks flurrying by between you two. You felt it, you felt the connections. You felt like Adrien had to do with something with Cat Noir... Maybe that was why you couldn't pick. You kissed him back fully, with purpose sprinkling off your lips until-
"NO!" You blurted out, putting your hands up, like you were surrendering and accidentally, your legs slipped and you crashed onto the floor, into the foam block pit, that is.
"Y/n!" Adrien jumped in after you to make sure you were alright.
"I'm fine. I'm better than fine, I'm great! Amazing! You're amazing!" You giggled as Adrien's face blurred a little, but you shook it off.
         Adrien smiled.
"Can I tell you a secret?"
"Sure." You tried to steady yourself.
"I like you." Adrien leaned in and whispered in your ear and all of a sudden, reality struck like lightning.
        "Huh?"
     "I like you."
"Oh," you whispered as something in your mind clicked. Then, all of a sudden, it made sense. The same eyes, cute flirtatious charm, the respect, same kisses. Adrien was Cat Noir.
Nah, you thought to yourself. It's probably just the blood in my head messing up my thinking.
But it certainly didn't mess you up when you kissed Adrien again.
And it certainly wasn't wrong about Adrien. But did you know that?
          Nope.

........... ...........

    Hang in there, guys!
You'll figure it out soon. Also, there's going to be something very big happening to you after you figure out that Adrien is Cat and it has to do with your special power, locking people away in the moon.
It will all get really sad.
Post a comment if you can guess what is coming if you want!
Or... Or don't. That's fine too.
I guess...
