chapter 20

"This feels so good." I say looking over at Tatiana slowly. She nods in agreement as the massage chair relaxes us at the nail salon.

"What are you doing with your toenails and fingernails?" She asks me.

"On my toes I am doing bright orange nail polish. And for my fingers I am getting matted white acrylics." I say. "What about you?"

"For my toes I am doing forest green nail polish and for my fingers I am doing purple acrylics."

"Oohh purple acrylics, thats going to be pretty." I say to her.

"Yeah purple is my favorite color." She sighs.

"Dude you change favorite colors like everyday. Yesterday you said your favorite color was pink. The day before that you said your favorite color was red. Whats tomorrow yellow?" I laugh.

"Don't judge me!" She says. "I just can't make up my mind."

We both laugh. Then I realize I haven't spent quality time with Tatiana in a really long time like this. Its reallt bice and relaxing and brings me back to good times when we were younger.

Once our nails are finished we hoblle out to the car with the little styrofoam sandals they provided for us.

"Where do you want to go now?" She asks.

"I don't know." I reply. "You hungry?"

"I was just going to say that. I am starving." She says.

"Well you know what they say, great minds think alike." I say smiling.

"What?" She looks at me.

"You have never heard of that saying?" I ask her surprised.

"Yeah I have I am just joking with you." She says laughing.

We pull up at Jamba Juice.

"Not something too huge but just enough to fufill my stomachs needs." She says.

We walk in and look up at the menu.

"Whatcha getting?" She asks.

"I am getting the mango a gogo I think." I reply.

"You always get that one!" She says.

"So?" I ask. "It is my favorite!"

"Well I am getting Pomegranate Paradise." She saya nodding her head.

We walk up to the register to order and I immediately recognize the guy.

"Hey aren't you Julie? And Tatiana?" He asks.

I never could remember his name.

"Oh yeah hey Nate!" Says Tatiana.

Nate thats what it was!

"Oh hey." I just say.

"How are you guys?" He asks.

"We are good, yourself?" Tatiana asks. She does all the talking because personally I don't want to talk to anyone who associates with Jack. Except the other Jack. He is cool.

"So what can I get for you girls today?" He asks.

"I will have a medium Mango A Gogo with a cheddar tomato twist." I say.

"Okay what about you Tatiana?" He asks.

"Oh we are paying seperate." I say.

"Don't worry about it." He says. He smiles and then winks.

"Thanks!" Tatiana exlaims suddenly.

She tells him what she wants and I stand off to the side to wait for my drink and food.

"That was nice of Nate." Says Tatiana.

"Yeah it was." I agree.

"Hey just because you are mad at Jack doesn't mean his friends had anything to do with it." She says.

"I know." I reply looking down at the ground.

"Cheer up, I am having such a great day!" She says.

"I am too." I say smiling.

"Good!" The girl puts our drinks on the counter as well as our food.

"Thank you." Tatiana says at the same time.

"Hey Julie!" I turn around and Nate is coming over.

"Whats up?" I ask.

"I have to tell you something-" He pauses. "About Jack."

I stand up straight.

"Uhh Tatiana and I better get going." I say. I don't want to stay and listen to what he has to say about him.

"No just wait," He says. "Please."

I look at Tatiana and she shrugs.

"Fine." I say crossing my arms.

"I know that you know Madison." He says.

"Wish I could say I didn't, but yes I do." I say.

"Well Jack is dating her now." He says.

I step back a little when I hear this nose. I step back at the pain of my broken heart.
