"Draw four." I whisper, laying my card on the pile on the ground. Isaac growls at me and takes 4 cards from the Uno stack in between us, sifting through his cards to find one to attack me with. He lays down a blue 7 card and I look down at the two cards left in my hands; a blue reverse and a color change. Game over. I set the reverse down and smile at him.

"Reverse back to me," I hold up my final card, "Uno, and change the color to red. I win."

Isaac throws his cards on the ground and grumbles something under his breath.

"Danny seriously isn't out yet?" I yawn, stretching out on the floor.

"He's spotting Jackson, and Jackson is being a little bitch about not having werewolf strength Derek promised him, so I imagine this'll take a while." He lays next to me, turning his face to mine.

The close proximity of our faces makes me nervous, my heartbeat quickening. I was never really one for blue eyes, but his were so blue they reminded me of crystals. His facial structure was created by the hands of God and his lips were a perfect pink; kissable. God, I want to kiss him.

No, what are you thinking? He's just a friend. That's all.

"You scared?" Isaac smirks at me. He must have noticed my rising heartbeat.

"Not scared.." I mutter awkwardly, looking down.

He gets up and listens to what's going on inside the room, grabbing my hand to help me up. "Danny's going to take a shower. Let's go."

It was about 5 AM, and for around an hour now, we had been sitting on the floor outside of the weight room in the high school waiting to get Jackson alone. Derek had his suspicions that he was the kanima and sent us to essentially kidnap him so he could be tested. We didn't know that Danny would be here, though, drawing this whole process out. Lucky I brought Uno cards just in case something like this happened. Silly, but you have to be prepared.

Isaac sneakily opened the door, motioning for me to go in. "He's all yours. Good luck."

I extract my claws and smile at him smugly. "Don't need it."

I walk through the series of workout equipment in the darkness, being especially careful not to trip over something and attract attention. I finally see him near a wall, attempting to lift the insanely large weight without someone spotting him. What an idiot. Although I admit it was weird nothing happened to him after receiving the bite, he needed to get over it. He'd never be like us.

I walk up behind him and grab the bar, lifting it up from his chest and onto the stands with ease. He closed his eyes and his chest heaved from the pressure of the weight.

"Thanks," He breathes out, making me smirk.

"Anytime." I say, sickly sweet. His eyes shoot open upon the realization that I wasn't Danny. Our eyes meet and I laugh at the pathetic fear in his eyes. I grab his neck and pull him up, Isaac coming from nowhere grabbing one of his arms.

"Alright, let's go." He nods, helping me escort him out.

We drag him back to the bottom floor of the lair, keeping a tight grip on him as we met up with Derek. Jackson looks around, clearly panicked and unaware of what was happening.

"What happened to you on the night of the full moon." Derek asks calmly, looking down at his hands.

"What? Nothing," Jackson growls, "Nothing happened."
