The Highway

Hay guys it's time for a new chapter yay I hope you've been enjoying the story so far and please remember to review anyways on with the story

Jakes POV

we are in the car now me and Carl have nothing to do because my DS got blown up in the CDC building so no more Pokémon for us oh well I still have the card so we just need a DS

maybe we will get a new one for our birthday but for now it's Rock Paper Scissors we come to a block and Daryl who's ahead to look for a way through comes to the RV

I faintly hear Dale "do you see a way through?.." Daryl nods and we fallow him but then a plume of white smoke rises from the RV and Dale stops

it's been a few minutes now me and Carl are walking and we see a truck Carl climbs up so do I we see a bunch of weapons but a dead guy too I hope he's not a walker

Carl opens the door but I stop him "are you crazy?!...what if that's a walker it could bite you!!" He turns his head "it's an arsenal we need it!..." I look to him "is it worth your life remember what happened at the camp Amy my mom everyone els"

I may only be ten but I can survive he looks at me still being stubborn "fine get bit if you want but don't come crying to me when you do!!"I walk off a little later I hear a thud along with the girliest scream ever I look and it's Carl holding the bag

he runs to Shane and then Shane yells at him a minute later he storms back and glares at me I shrug it off and fallow him not even a minute later we are scrunched under a car as a heard of walkers comes through

after they pass we all get out from under the cars but then Sophia screams and runs down a hill two walkers after her I chase after her Rick soon in tail he looks at me back to the highway and then keeps going

I find her first Rick after me he tells me and Sophia to hide under a tree until he comes back Rick leads the walkers away then Sophia leaves I fallow her because two kids are better than one

we keep walking down stream until we hear a crunch we run as fast as we can away from the sound until we find a barn I run over and fling it open but it doesn't budge damn we keep running and then Sophia runs straight into a walkers grasp

it sinks it's teeth into her shoulder i quickly tackle it of her ripping her flesh and then I drive a sharp rock into its head and it goes limp I get up and run over to Sophia she is bleeding bad

I try to stand her up but she's dead I know I have to put her down so I do I stab her skull with another rock then I walk back where we came from I eventually find Rick and Daryl who were out looking for us

well me now I fall to the ground and I feel them cheek me over for bites I have none I hear Rick "let's get him back..." Then Daryl "you take him I'll look for the girl.."

Rick picks me up as if I where his own kid and takes me back to the highway I pass out just as we reach the hill

Carl's POV

dad came up the hill with a small figure in his arms who is it Sophia or Jake? As he gets closer I see its Jake in his arms but he's covered in blood both walker and human blood

I run over "dad is he bit??...." Dad looks at me and shakes his head so he's not bit so where did the blood come from dad sets Jake down in the car and mom runs over and starts cleaning him up ever since mom talked to Jakes mom she's been acting like this

I think jakes mom told her to watch after him if something happened to her the search for Sophia continues I'm with dad we find a church it's a dud

we keep looking mom and some others go back to the highway me dad Shane and Daryl keep going then this deer comes right in front of me and I get so close almost touch it then I hear a gun and feel the slug inter my gut the last thing I see is the deer falling the last thing I hear is my dad yelling then black......
