Chapter 50 whew well it's gotta end sometime or another I'm just still working in an ending We but it'll be a good one I promise but for now on with the story......

Jakes POV:

It's dawn I drove through the night I don't know why but I woke up and climbed up front that was three hours ago I've been smoking the whole time and I know it's probably just my eyes playing tricks on me but.....

I keep seeing big yellow eyes in the tree line but when I look at them they disappear so I just stopped trying to look I haven't seen them for about half an hour

I hear movement in the back as a groggy and confused Carl wakes up I hear him fiddling with something and then he hops up front with me "hay" he says half asleep

I hand him the bowl and say "hi..." and keep driving eventually after many fails at starting conversation he pulls the E-Brake and we lurch to a stop I slam the dash and he turns

"Your tired what happened last night?" I calm myself "nothing just wanted to get closer that's all" he doesn't buy it "go take a nap I'll drive"

Carl's POV:

he agrees and gets in the back laying down once he's asleep I turn east I got a surprise for grumpy pants I pull up to the building an hour later it's an old pool building I remember Jake talking about it once

I grab my gun and knife and head in I go to both locker rooms nothing I go to the employee only area nothing then the pool area I looked all over the place nothing..... "where are the walkers?" I say aloud to myself

I shake this off and go get grumpy I shake him awake much to his displeasure "hay grumpy pants look" I step aside and he looks jaw dropping I chuckle

Jakes POV:

I don't believe him he took
Us 15 miles east to go to my favorite water park the name long forgotten and eroded away but I remember the building Carl leads me in and too the pool he got running

I walk right in clothes and all stunned and then I splash Carl soaking him as well he breaths sharp from shock then dives in at me splashing down just next to me as I swam away

We played skinny dipped went down the water slide and sat in the hot tub after that we took the money from the register and bought all the snacks from the vending machine we head off getting back on track but we had fun that's what's important.....
