One Republic – Something I Need

Klaus speaks some kind of Aramaic that even I don't understand.

"What does it mean?" I ask Nik, but he just smiles at me. "Nik, what does it mean?"

"Lets call Rebekah." Caroline decides. That's when I realize, I just called Klaus 'Nik'.

"Hello?" Rebekah answers the phone.

"Hey, it's Caroline. We have the translation of the tattoo. We're emailing you pictures of the map and instructions right now." Caroline speaks.

A moment silence.

"Got it. Thanks."

"Actually, it was me." Nik smirks.

"Nik, you helped?"

"You sound so surprised, little sister."

"Shouldn't I be? I mean, you don't want me to be human. You don't want any of us to be human. Why would you help us find the cure?"

"Maybe I finally realized the longer I stand in the way of what you want, the longer you'll continue to hate me. Perhaps I want my sister to finally know happiness." Klaus shrugs even though Rebekah can't see him.

"Fool me once, shame on you; fool me a hundred times..."

"No more fooling. No more games. I hope you get to live, and die, as you wish." Klaus almost sings happily.

"So do I."

"There is one more thing, Rebekah. There is only one dose of the cure. You need to find it first and take it. It's the only way you'll—"Tyler quickly ends call. Caroline and Tyler leave the house, leaving me with Nik.

"You called me Nik earlier, love." He points out, about to stroke my cheek but his hand just falls through me as if there is nothing there.

"There's something bothering me, Nik." I mutter.

"What is that, love?" Nik asks.

"I turned my humanity off because of you. I think I'm in love with you."

*Jasper's POV*

"Is this it?" I look at the box. Bonnie and Jeremy are quite cool, they've been really nice to me while we were kidnapped. Now I know why my sister hates being kidnapped.

"This is the cure? How is that supposed to cure every vampire in the world?"

"I don't think it is, Jer." Bonnie sighs as Jeremy starts trying to wrest the box out of the figure's hands.

"It's stuck. Help me move it." Jeremy mutters. Bonnie and both pull as hard as we can.

"It's, like, fossilized in place. It's like trying to bend stone. Oh, my god."

"What?" I question the witch. "What, Bonnie?"

"He's been frozen like a vampire statue for 2000 years. There's only one way we're gonna get the statue to unfreeze."

"How's that?" Jeremy asks.

"We have to feed him our blood. If we want to get the cure out of his hands,we...we have to wake him up."
