It seemed that many people aren't understanding some certain parts of chapter 7-8. Let me tell you what went down in the most least painful way.

The dream part

-the girl was _______ in Brian's dream (you think I'd really give a name?)

-it was actually a recap when Brian and _______ used to live in Canada (that was the first time they met)

-the Barbie chick said Brian's dream was actually real

Sitting on the bench in the train station part

-when Brian was sixteen, he did a lot of bad things (such as getting RIVYN'S best friend pregnant, selling drugs to parents (eg. Rivyn's parents), and made people do drugs (Rivyns cousin). His mother got worried, not wanting her son to have a corrupted mind and brought him to a Memory Removing Place that wasn't exactly 100% safe.

-Mrs. Daniels took the risk anyways, and she removed all of Brian's memory of when he was sixteen/seventeen.

-the surgery however, affected him and triggered several black-outs. The surgery also made him forget other things after his memories were deleted. Such as, having a crush on Klaire and the grief of breaking up with Charlotte

Why Rivyn moved in with Aunt Darby and why they ended up both moving into the Daniels

So you know that Brian sold drugs to Rivyn's parents, persuaded her cousin to do meth, and got her best friend preggers, right?

Rivyn is influenced that Brian ruined all of her relative's lives.  The police have kept an eye on Rivyn's family ever since her parents got caught doing drugs.  Once they realized nearly all her relatives were screw ups, the police realized Rivyn might have ended up becoming just like them.

Now the key to understanding this was what Brian didn't exactly mean to do everything.  He was young and stupid, and didn't know much since his father left him at a young age.

So Rivyn gets sent to the only DeLor member left that wasn't a screwup.  Which was Aunt Darby.  Now what no one knew was the Aunt Darby was in debt and couldn't pay off the house mortgage.  So Rivyn's therapist decided Aunt Darby and Rivyn could live with the Daniels because

A) They would have a place to stay

B) Her therapist believed in forgiveness and wanted Rivyn to get to know the Daniels

C) after keeping a good eye on Rivyn for the past month, her therapist thought Rivyn was lonely and she need a companion.  And since she though Rivyn was uncomfortable with guys, she thought it would be a bonus if they could stay at the Daniels since most of them were boys

Hope this helped :) sorry for all the confusion
