Sam stared, frozen to the spot, as Anna lay there, barely breathing. "What the hell happened?" Gabriel demanded angrily. "Castiel woke me up." Sam explained. "Well, my brother always has had absolutely perfect timing!" The blond snapped sarcastically. Sam shook his head and took a shaky step toward Anna. "What happened?" He asked softly, kneeling before the angel. Gabriel shrugged quickly, his hand running through his hair. "How am I supposed to know? I just wondered if she was even gonna show up!" Sam stood up from his spot beside Anna and pulled Gabriel into a hug. "It's ok. We'll figure it out." He said firmly. Gabriel nodded. "I just want this nightmare to be over." He shook, trying desperately not to cry. "I just want to be with you." Sam pulled away, pressing a quick, chaste kiss to Gabriel's lips. "Let me go get some research done. I'll be back soon, I promise." He said sincerely. Gabriel looked like he might object, but after a moment he let Sam leave.
