You swallowed nervously as you looked at the helmet that Lex gave you. "I... uh..."
"Babe, you know that I'll always keep you safe." He took the helmet from you and kissed your head. You smiled as he slid the helmet over your hair and took your hands. "Can you do it?"
You nodded. "Yeah, I can." All of your anxiety went away as you both boarded the vehicle. You wrapped your arms around Lex's torso and pressed your face against his shoulders.
Before he started it up, you kissed his neck. He turned his head over to look at you and raised his eyebrows.
"I love you."
"Ah. I love you, too, my dear."
