"Two Big Macs and a happy meal please" Justin says in a deep voice. I'm looking out of the window, avoiding eye contact with the people working in macdonals, or anyone for that matter. We are not far enough yet, but I really don't think we will ever be far enough, everyone watches the news, everyone will know who we are.

"Your food won't be long, please drive along to the next window sir, have a nice day" the lady smiles.

"Thank you" Justin says before driving to the next window. I'm going to pretend I'm asleep for now, it's easier.

I don't think I've ever waited so long for macdonals in my whole life, my heart it pounding and my palms are sweating, I'm terrified. What if someone called the police and they are just stalling us until they get here?

"Here you go sir, enjoy" a woman behind the counter says before handing Justin the bags with our food in. I didn't realise how hungry I was again until the smell hit me. If this is the last macondals I'm going to have in this city I'm going to enjoy it.

"I know that was hard baby but you did good, it's all going to be okay? I promise" Justin smiles, taking my hand.

"How?" I cry. "I'm a paranoid wreck. How is it ever going to be okay?" I can't do this, I can't pretend it's okay when it's not. We will never be able to live the normal, happy life together that we hoped for when we got away from Gab. We didn't get away from him very well.

"We need to get a makeover, change your hair colour, style, everything. Cut violets hair, I'll dye mine too. We can make this work." Justin nods.

"What good will that do? How do we go into a hairdressers and ask for a makeover. They will call the police the second we walk in."

"We will do it ourselves, I'll call shannon and ask her to come up, she's great with hair & makeup. Now don't worry about anything I will handle it all. I want you to relax okay, please babe."

"I'll try." I say, stuffing my face with chips.

"Give me one" Justin winks, making me giggle. I stuff one in his mouth and he kisses my hand quickly before chewing it. "I love you" he says once he's finished.

"I love you too Justin, so much." I smile.
