-Alaska is not part of Canada, it is one of the fifty states of the U.S.A. It used to be part of Russia but they thought it was useless so they sold it to the States because the Canadian government  didn't have enough money to buy it. Then they regretted it once gold was found there.

-Canada is split into provinces and territories as America is split into states. Provinces: British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island. Territories: North West Territories, Yukon, and Nunavut.

-Saskatchewan, my home province and the one almost everybody who isn't Canadian doesn't know how to say. But, I will fix that, just break it into syllables: Sa-ska-chew-wan. Practice saying this as much as you want.

-Nova Scotia means "New Scotland"

-Newfoundland and Labrador use to be two separate provinces but ended up being formed into one.
