i ended up staying at a stranger's house.

really, nice move for a frustrated teenage boy. what if the stranger you decided to crash in was a serial killer? what if she's just luring you in and once she had your trust she'll sell you off into the black market? really, give yourself a pat jungkook and look what you got yourself unto. really, how foolish can you be?

my eyes flutter to open as i felt my cheeks getting wet. it was ticklish and i can't help but giggle at the action.

"mini!" i heard a soft voice and i abruptly sat up from the sofa. the voice and the melody, it was just a whisper but, why do i seem so addicted with that sound? i want to hear it once again but, because of the sudden action my head started to hurt.

"owwww.." i curled up like a ball as i can't bear with the pain.

soon, i felt someone sat beside me in the sofa and i peeked. (lately, i have been peeking a whole lot) and i saw that she was already right beside me and a note was already outstretched in her hand as her cheeks were still covered with a now, blue mask.

sorry about mini but, breakfast is ready you can eat.

i read as my face lighten up with the mention of food, i completely forgot about the thought of wanting to hear her speak once again. i immediately run on the dining area and my stomach immediately grumbled. i saw a fresh toast placed on a plate, jams which had two different flavors- blueberry and strawberry, a couple of scrambled eggs, bacon and hot dogs. just the basic breakfast, yet why do i feel so excited?

though, why is there only one plate?

"you're not going to eat?" i asked as i saw her trail behind me. she just shook her head as answer.

"have you eaten already?" she shakes her head once more and hung them low.

"then, why is there only one plate? we could eat together you know?" i asked sitting on one of the chairs and i moved the other one on my side, indicating that she should eat too.

"i'm just your guest you know? no need to be shy, it should've been me who's supposed to be shy" our eyes slowly met and i found us locking gazes for a moment until we heard her stomach grumble.

my eyes widened and i couldn't help but hold back a laughter, i saw her cheeks burn with embarrassment as we both heard her tummy.

i couldn't help but chuckle, "you should eat you know?" i repeated, her eyes locked with mine and i definitely knew that i saw her tearing up, but the moment she blinked - it seemed like nothing happened.

"i don't want to disgust you"

an enormous amount of butterflies erupted inside me as i heard her voice even though it was a little muffled – for the second time. as much as i wanted to let the unusual feelings to eat me, her words tore me inside out.

"d - disgust?" i stuttered, seeking for an answer but then, i saw her walking towards my direction as she handed me another note once more. as i was still in shock, i couldn't process what she was doing and soon she took the initiative and held my hands, placing the note on my palm. as our eyes momentarily locked in each other's gaze, she turned around and hastily ran on a room which i presumed was hers.

her hands were so cold as if she needed some warmth in her life. my stepsister - mara, used to say that people who has cold hands are warm hearted people, it's just that only a few people took the chance to befriend them. maybe, she was one of those,

my mouth was hanging low and i remembered the note she handed to my palm and my eyes trailed on it.

i made bento for you. have a nice day and fighting! mini and i will be here for you! don't be crybaby, bunny. ❝

as much as i felt the warmth creep up inside me once more, i can't help but wonder if the girl who gave me this letter is needing to have this kind of warmth in her heart.

true, i needed a home and a person to stay by my side but, she, she seems to need more than i do.

what can i do for you, masked bear?

what can i do for the person who adopted this stray dog?
