Dreams

The one thing people tell the children

The one thing that keeps us sane

The thing that causes great stride through history

And causes great strife for every generation

Days, upon days we try to tame it

And every night we try to get rid of it

And yet it always comes back

As we stay trapped in its webs of joy

To soon get eaten by dispair

A dream can take many forms

From all the money in the world, and it's consequences

To a simple handshake,
that leads to a life of servitude

A dream, and a nightmare are one in the same

A dream just has a friendlier face,
But the same results

Remember the sadness from the learning of Santa,
Or that same feeling of the tooth fairy

Our happiness played as one cruel joke

Just remember one line of sanity:
There is always consequences from the thing you dream most
