Regret

As I look back on my days long gone

I see a life I've missed

Some from ignorance

Others from arrogance

Yet still some I've lost due to my own timidity to explore the world

But as I look back on my days long past

I see the friends I've lost, who I couldn't find

I see the fights I've won, but at what cost

It seems the cost was always greater than the reward

For the regret I feel is one of my own

But it can show as a reminder all who follow my lead

That the path I've chosen is not a good one

For the fights I've one were in vain

For the friends I've lost I will never regain

For the ones who've red this, don't follow my lead

The path I've walked down doesn't lead to happiness...

It only leads to Regret
