Sadness

As I look at the pictures all around me

I see the life I've sadly left behind

I see my friends, who I made hate me

I see my family, who wants nothing to do with me

I see my parents, with sadness in their eyes

Words can't describe the sadness I feel

The sadness that's burrowed deep inside my heart

Sadness is one that never leaves

So as I sit staring at my old life

I feel the sadness welled up in me

And as I sit there in silence

I feel a lonely drop crawl down my cheek

And I know I will forever more...
