Forever

We decided to have dinner together in the living area. The kids are excited.
"Work ok?" I ask.
"Yup. It's been a little easier even," Maxon says.
"Alright.....so...I was thinking."
"Uh oh."
"Hey!"
He grins. I smile.
"What were you thinking my dear?"
"Well....maybe we could...have another baby."
He looks at me shocked. Before I can reply Eadlyn grabs my arm and asks if they can play. They ate their food so I say yes.
I look back at Maxon who's looking at me.
"What do you think?" I ask nervously.
He waits a minute and I start to lose hope.
"Sure," he finally answers.
"What?"
"Let's have another baby."
He smiles. I smile big and hug him. He laughs and hugs me back, then plants a kiss on my lips. I kiss him back. We hear giggling and look at the source. Eadlyn and Ahren are giggling and watching us. They both run over and hug us. We hug them back.
"Love you mommy," Eadlyn says.
"I love you too honey."
I kiss her forehead and she giggles. We all stop hugging and Ahren climbs onto Maxon's lap.
The maid comes in and takes our dirty plates. She then comes back with our desert.
I thank her then hand the kids their plates of triple brownies with white chocolate chips.
We all eat it together then watch a cartoon movie. Ahren falls asleep in Maxon's arms, and Eadlyn hugs me the entire time.

"They're so sweet," Maxon says.
"I know. We're the luckiest parents in the world," I reply.
We already put the kids in bed, and are getting ready for the same place as well.
"I love you so so much Maxon."
"I love you too my dear."
"I'm glad you picked me."
"Me too."
"I promised I'd stay after all."
We both smile at the memory.
"You did didn't you?"
"Mhmm."
"You better keep that promise. Stay with me America. Forever."
"I will Maxon. Forever. But I expect the same thing."
"Forever."
He lays down and I sit on top of him, grinning.
"Oh. We're trying now?" he asks.
"Yup."
I kiss him hard. He kisses me back. And that's where it begins.
