Once Maxon and I are dressed we go downstairs.
We didn't get up until a little before ten.
Chris is in the kitchen making coffee when we go in.
"Good morning," I say.
He looks at me and smiles.
"Good morning. You two hungry?"
"Yeah."
"What would you like?"
"Whatever you want us to have."
"You guys can pick. We can make pancakes, waffles, an omelette. We have cereal."
"May I have a pancake please," Maxon requests.
"Of course," Chris replies.
"Can I have two waffles?" I ask.
"Yeah. I'll bring you guys your food when it's done. Heidi's in the living room but you can eat in your room if you'd like," he offers.
"We're probably going to eat in our room. I've got some stuff to get ready," Maxon tells him.
"That's ok. The food shouldn't take to long to cook."
Maxon nods and we go back to our room.
He gets in his work bag and pulls out his computer. He plugs it in and sits on the bed with it.
I recline next to him and read my book while he works.
Christopher knocks on the door over half an hour later. Maxon lets him in.
He puts the tray of food on the bed.
He made bacon and put some mango on our plates with my waffles and Maxon's pancake. There's tea and syrup on the tray as well.
"Thank you," I appreciate, my mouth watering.
"My pleasure. When you're done eating you can just put the tray on the kitchen counter. Heidi is going to the pool so you can join her once you're done eating if you want."
"Ok. Thanks."
He smiles and leaves, closing the door behind him.
I look at the food and grab my plate.
I start eating.
Maxon grabs his plate and sits next to me.
He eats as well.
The food is really good.
It's simple and easy to make, but I love it. We don't have waffles at the castle. We do have pancakes, but a lot of the times it's fancier things like crepes.
"Are you going to the pool once you're done?" Maxon asks.
"Yeah. I think it'd be nice," I answer.
"Alright. Once I get everything together I'm going to see if Chris will bring me to the town to check things out."
"Really?"
"Yeah. We need to get started immediately."
"Should I come?"
"No. It's fine. You stay here with Heidi."
"I want to help."
"I'm just going to take some notes. It's safer if you just stay here anyway."
I give him a look.
"What?" he defensively asks.
"It's also safer if you stay here and let Chris take the notes," I argue.
"It's better if I go and make my own notes."
"Let him take the notes."
"What if I don't understand them or he doesn't get everything I need? Then we'll just have a wasted day."
"Then at least you'll be safe."
"I'll be fine America. We went over this."
"I know..."
He kisses my cheek.
"It'll be alright," he assures.
I just nod and keep eating.
Once we finish he takes our plates on the tray and brings them downstairs.
I grab my clothes and go to the bathroom.
I put my two piece swimming suit on. I put a shirt and shorts over top.
I brush my hair then put it up in a tight bun.
I put my pink crystal sandals on and leave the bathroom.
Maxon's sitting on the bed with a file and his computer.
"Ready?" I question.
"Almost," he replies.
I read my book until he's ready.
Once he is we go downstairs and into the living room where Christopher and Heidi are.
Heidi has a beach dress on.
"Good morning," she greets.
"Morning," I say with a smile.
"You ready for the pool?"
"Yes I am."
Christopher takes her hand and helps her up.
We all slowly make our way downstairs.
Christopher helps Heidi sit on the edge of the pool.
Maxon kisses me.
"I'm going to go show Maxon around the town," Christopher tells Heidi.
"You are?" Heidi asks with concern.
"Yeah. We'll be back for dinner."
"Oh. Alright. Please be careful. Both of you."
"We will."
He kisses her cheek then gets up.
Him and Maxon go.
Heidi puts her feet in the water.
I sit next to her.
She smiles at me.
"Are you getting in?" I ask.
"No. I'm just going to stay here. I'm not supposed to be moving around much," she answers.
"Bed rest?"
"Yep."
"That sucks."
"It does. But I'll deal with it as long as it helps the baby."
"What a good mother."
I slowly slide myself into the pool.
It's heated, so it's a comfortable temperature.
"So do you know the gender yet?" I wonder aloud.
"Yeah, it's a girl," she tells me.
"Aw. Are you excited?"
"Very. We found adorable outfits for her."
"Girls are the best to get outfits for. The clothes are all so cute."
"I know. We found a pink dress that came with little pink shoes and a headband."
"That sounds adorable."
"It is. It has sparkles and little bow ties."
"How cute."
"I'm sure she'll look adorable in them."
"I'm sure of that too."
"I hope she looks like Chris."
"You do?"
"Well, hair and eyes. A blonde headed little girl running around would be great."
Heidi has dark brown hair and brown eyes, while Christopher has dirty blonde hair with lots of brown underneath. He has dark blue eyes.
"Blonde hair is fun. But dark hair is too. I'm sure she'll be beautiful either way," I assure.
"Thank you," Heidi appreciates.
I smile.
"The baby shower is going to start at three," she informs me.
"Are other people coming?" I question.
"Yes, but only three."
"Do I know any of them?"
"Probably one."
"Who?"
"Kate."
"Oh yay. She's so sweet."
"She really is."
"She's shy too."
"She is. She always has been. But she'll warm up to you once you get to know each other better."
"Then I'll try to hang out with her and you mostly during the shower."
"She'd like that."
"But for now, you and I will have our own pool party."
She smiles.
"Sounds great," she says.
I swim around for a bit and talk to Heidi.
Their maid brings our lunch at noon, so I get out and dry myself off, then I sit by Heidi again.
We eat our sandwiches with pretzel chips for lunch.
I get back in the pool once we're done eating at one.
"Do you think the boys will be back soon?" I ask.
"Probably closer to dinner," she answers.
"Have you gone to look at the town?"
"When it first happened we went. We just stayed by the road though. It was not a very safe area because buildings weren't very stable."
"Oh."
"But the buildings are secured or taken down now. So it's safe."
"Good. I don't want the boys to get hurt."
"Me either."
"They'll be in trouble if they get hurt."
"Yeah they will."
"We'll smack them around a bit. Show them who's boss."
Heidi laughs.
I smile at her and laugh too.
She stops and looks down, putting a hand on the side of her stomach.
"Are you ok?" I ask concerned.
"Yeah....I just get cramps sometimes," she assures me.
"Maybe we should get out of the pool."
"No it's ok. It'll fade."
I hesitate then nod.
She rubs the spot.
We talk for awhile.
I get out of the pool at one thirty.
I start to dry off.
"Can you help me up?" Heidi requests.
"Of course."
I go over and help her up.
"I'm going to go lay on the couch in the living room," she tells me.
"Ok. I'll be there in a minute."
She nods and goes.
I watch her walk out worried.
Once I dry off I go to the guest room and change.
I go to the living room.
Heidi had fallen asleep on the couch.
She has the TV on.
I smile at her and sit in a chair.
I watch TV until 2:30.
I decide to wake Heidi up since her party is in half an hour.
I shake her awake.
She looks at me.
"Did I fall asleep?" she asks.
"Yeah."
"Oh, sorry."
"It's fine. You were tired."
She yawns and sits up.
She looks at the clock and gasps.
"Oh no. I only have half an hour to get ready," she freaks out, getting teary eyed.
"It's ok. I'll help you get everything ready."
"But I have to decorate and do my makeup and hair and get changed and-"
"Hey. It's ok. You go get yourself ready and I'll decorate."
"Really? You'll do that?"
"Sure. Do you need me to get the food ready?"
"No. The maid is doing it."
"Alright."
She gives me the bag of decorations then goes upstairs.
I start decorating while she gets ready.
I fill balloons and put them on both sides of the couch. I put streamer around the room. I put some pink wall and table decorations around the room. I put the stuff for the games by the wall.
The maid brings in a bowl of pink candies and puts them on the coffee table.
Heidi comes down five minutes before the party starts.
She's wearing a pink maternity dress and has her hair braided. She has a light makeup on and a charm bracelet.
She looks around the room.
"Is it ok?" I ask.
"It's great America. Thank you," she appreciates.
She hugs me then sits on the couch. I sit with her.
We talk until the bell rings.
I start to get up to answer it but Heidi tells me the maid will get it.
The first girl to arrive has blonde hair. She's wearing a bright pink dress and has high heels on. She's wearing plenty of make up as well.
"Bridgette!" Heidi excitedly greets.
"Hey there," Bridgette replies.
She goes over to Heidi and they hug.
"It's so great to see you," Heidi says.
"It's great to be here."
Heidi smiles.
Bridgette sits in one of the chairs.
The next to arrive is Kate.
Heidi greets and hugs her as well.
Kate shyly responds to both then sits on the floor by the coffee table. Kate has her hair curled and it wearing a flowy, light pink dress.
Not much later another girl arrives. She has darker blonde hair and is wearing light blue skinny jeans with a pink flowery blouse.
"Hey Heidi," she says when she walks in.
"Hey Amy," Heidi replies.
They hug then she sits on a chair.
"Thank you guys so much for coming."
"Of course we'd come. We're your friends," Bridgette comments.
"I know. And I'm grateful to have you."
We all smile at her.
"The boys should be back in an hour or two. We'll have dinner then. But if you want snacks there are lots in the kitchen," she informs us.
The maid brings around Champaign and sparkling water.
We all chat and snack for awhile.
Kate doesn't say much, but Bridgette does. She's a talker.
The boys don't gets back until 5:30.
They come in.
"Hello ladies," Christopher says while walking over to Heidi.
We all say hi.
I look at Maxon and he smiles at me, but he stays by the door.
Christopher kisses Heidi's cheek.
"Want me to start cooking?" he questions.
"Please. We're starving," she answers.
He smiles and nods.
Maxon and him leave the room.
"What are we having for dinner?" Amy asks.
"Barbeque. Chris makes the best home cooked ribs. Ugh, I've been craving them for weeks," Heidi answers.
"Good thing we're having them then," I comment.
"And good thing he's making a lot," she adds.
We all smile.
"So you're really the queen?" Bridgette asks me.
"Yeah. Really the queen," I reply.
"Wow. That's so cool."
"I guess."
"It must feel so amazing being queen."
"Well, it has its ups and downs."
"It seems pretty amazing to me."
I don't say anything, and it's a bit awkward.
"How about we do a game before we eat?" Heidi suggests.
We all nod.
She gets up and grabs the bag.
She gives everyone a piece of paper and a pen.
"Ok so when I say go everyone will write a girl's name for every letter of the alphabet as fast as you can. Whoever has the most down in sixty seconds wins," she explains the rules.
We all get ready.
She gets her phone and pulls out the timer.
"Ready?"
We nod.
"Go."
We all immediately start writing down names.
Heidi watches us smiling.
I write down names as fast I can think of them.
The timer goes off and we all put our pens down.
Heidi takes the papers and counts up the names.
"You guys wrote some really cute names," Heidi comments.
"Are you going to pick a name today?" Kate asks.
"I might. I don't know though."
She continues counting.
"Ok. The highest amount was 20. And the winner is...Amy!"
Amy smiles.
Heidi grabs another bag from under the table and hands it to her.
"You can pick something out of there if you'd like."
Amy grabs a pretty picture frame.
Christopher comes in.
"Dinners ready," he announces.
We all get up immediately and follow him to the backyard deck.
The barbeque is still on the grill.
A big table is set up for all of us to sit at.
We all get in our seats.
I sit by Maxon and Kate.
Christopher sits on the other side of Maxon.
The maid gives everyone their plates after dividing up the food.
We're having ribs, grilled squash, cheesy potatoes, and fruit.
The extras are put in the center of the table.
We all eat.
The maid pours everyone wine and water.
"You made all of this Chris?" I ask.
"Yeah. Except the fruit of course," he tells me.
"It's so good."
"Thank you."
"If we ever need barbeque at the castle, I'm calling you."
"Alright," he laughs.
We all chat while we eat.
Maxon puts his hand on my leg.
I look at him.
He smiles.
I smile back.
"I missed you," he says.
"I missed you too," I reply.
He kisses my cheek.
"How did it go?" I question.
"Good I guess," he answers.
"You guess?"
"We'll talk about it later. Let's just have fun for now."
I nod.
We all keep eating.
Once we finish our food we play another game inside.
It's seeing how well we can wrap either Christopher or Heidi in a minute. I won since I wrapped Chris best. I get a box of sour candies as a prize.
We clean up the toilet paper them sit around the living room.
"Presents time," Christopher says, handing Heidi a gift from him on the couch.
She smiles and opens it. It's a mommy mug that says #1 mom, three onesies, and a pack of binkies.
I hand her mine next. I gave her some bibs and lotions for herself.
Amy gave her diapers and a baby toy.
Bridgette gave her socks and toys.
Kate gave her toys as well as bottles.
"Thank you guys so much. I love my gifts," she appreciates.
We all hug.
We go outside and have smores around a fire. They're so good. We're making these with the kids one day.
"Ok guys. Chris and I have an announcement," Heidi says.
We all look at them.
"As you all know we're having a little girl very soon...and her name is Taylor Marietta Huiet," she announces.
We all say 'aww' and hug her.
"That's a beautiful name," Amy tells her.
She smiles and gets teary eyed.
Once it gets late we all go inside.
Kate, Amy, and Bridgette leave.
We hug them all goodbye.
I hug Heidi and tell her congratulations, then maxon and I go to our room.
I yawn and lay in bed after getting changed.
Maxon lays next to me.
I look at his handsome smile and smile back.
"Tired love?" he asks.
I nod.
He kisses my lips then pulls me into a hug. I hug him back.
"I'm tired too."
"Do you still want to talk about the town?"
"In the morning. It's late. Let's just get some rest."
"Alright."
I kiss his cheek and lay down.
He lays with me.
We say goodnight and that we love each other, then we go to sleep.
