I wake up when I feel a cramp at one in the morning. It's feel like a sharp pinch in my lower stomach.
I was starting to think it was a contraction, but it goes away and I don't get another one. I rub my side then go back to sleep.

I wake up to a cramp again at eight. Maxon's still asleep. I sigh and sit up. Maxon feels the shift on the bed and wakes up.
"What are you doing?" he asks.
"I'm gonna get a bath," I say while yawning.
He gets up to help me.
"I can get there myself," I say.
"I just want to help."
I sigh and stand up, immediately regretting it.
My stomachs extremely tight and feels heavy. I put my hand under it.
Maxon comes over and takes my other hand. He helps me walk to the bathroom.
I sit on the toilet while he gets the bath ready.
Once the waters running he smiles at me.
"What?" I ask, my face warming up a bit.
"Your waddle is adorable."
"Oh whatever."
He laughs and starts putting the bath soap in then asks," How are you feeling?"
"A little weird. I think today might be the day."
He looks at me.
"Really?"
I smile and nod.
I'm due in a week and I'm ready for our little boy to come out. Being pregnant is one of the hardest things to have to go through. It's even harder than being queen.
He smiles and hands me a hair tie.
I get undressed and put my hair up in a sloppy bun. He helps me get comfy in the bath then sits on the edge of the tub.
"You can go back to bed," I say.
"It's alright. I'm gonna keep an eye on you."
"I'm fine Maxon."
"I know. I want to talk anyway."
"Oh, alright."
"You really think it's today?" he asks excitedly.
"I do. He definitely dropped to the bottom of my stomach. It feels really heavy. And tight."
"I'm nervous."
"Why? I should be the nervous one."
"I just don't want anything to go wrong."
"Nothing will go wrong Maxon. The baby's gonna be fine."
"And you?"
"And me."
"Good. Because you're mine and mine alone. I love you with all of me."
"Of course I'm yours. And I love you too."
He takes my hand and I lean my head back on the tub.
"I'm ready for him to come out," I groan.
"Me too. I can't wait to see him."
"I forgot how hard it was to be pregnant."
"You look adorable, so that's a plus."
"No. I look like a fat, swollen whale."
"Not true."
"It is true."
"Not at all."
I sigh and close my eyes.
We sit there awhile and he holds my hand, letting me relax.
I nearly fall asleep, but I feel a sharp pain shoot up the side of my stomach.
I sit my head up and move up a bit, pulling his hand down a bit and putting the other on my side.
"Ah!"
I wince and he watches me.
"You ok?" he asks after a minute.
I let my face relax. The pain slowly goes away.
"Yeah. I want to get out."
He hesitates.
"Alright," he says, helping me up. He helps me out and I get dressed while he drains the water.
I pull my maternity shirt over my large stomach and my sweats on. I take my hair out of the bun.
"I need food," I say, a little out of breath.
Maxon smiles and helps me to the bed.
"What do you want to eat?" he asks.
"Cookies, pasta, chicken, and chocolate," I list immediately.
"I'll be back."
He leaves.
As I'm waiting I spot my fuzzy socks.
I decide to get them and get up.
I start to walk to them but I get what I think is a cramp.
I hold my stomach with one hand and the bed with the other.
I wait for a minute then I decide I need help on the bed.
"Guard!" I yell.
The guard rushes in, gun raised. He lowers it once he sees me. He looks a little nervous.
"Can you please help me get on the bed?"
"Of course your majesty."
He comes over.
"Are you alright?"
"Yes. I just need a little help."
He nods. He takes my hand. The next step I take causes a sharper pain and my water to break.
