I wipe my face with a tissue.
I throw it away and put the beautifully written letters back in the envelope.
The words he wrote means so much to me. He said he started writing once a month since I got pregnant with the twins. It reminds me of the letters he wrote while I was gone after my dad passed away. These letters remind me of a diary. It's like he's sharing all oh his thoughts and secrets with me. That makes me happy.
His words will be between him and I forever and always.
Maybe I should write him letters. Then when we're old and dying we can burn them together, sealing the words between our hearts.
Or something romantic like that.
These letters mean the world to me. They make me so unbelievably happy. I can't believe I can love Maxon as much as I do.
Once I contain my out of control emotions, I head downstairs to meet Maxon in the ballroom. The party ended, but he gave specific instructions to go there.
When I get there he's sitting at a table.
I go over and hug him. He hugs me back.
"You're the best."
"I take it you liked them?"
"I loved them.
"I'm glad. You deserve it."
"Thank you so much."
I kiss him. He kisses me back . I stick my tongue in his mouth. I move back and kiss his neck, causing a moan to escape him. I kiss up to his mouth. He bites my lip, then kisses me hard.
"I love you," I say when we break away for air.
"I love you too my dear," he replies.

"No fighting," I instruct sternly.
"But he took my tiara!" Eadlyn complains.
"Give it back Ahren."
"She started it," he replies.
"I don't care."
"She pulled on my pajamas."
"Don't pull on his pajamas Eadlyn."
"Yes mommy."
He gives it back. I feed Kaden while they talk.
Maxon comes out of the bathroom.
"Go brush your teeth," I tell Ahren and Eadlyn.
They both run to the bathroom.
Maxon comes over and sits next to me. I sigh and lean my head on his chest.
"They're a handful," I say.
"That, my dear, couldn't be more true," he replies.
"Way to be all sophisticated."
"I wasn't."
"Yeah huh."
I finish feeding Kaden and put him in the crib provided.
"No. That's just how I talk," he demands.
"Sure my oh so perfect prince."
He grins and follows me over to the bed, where we lay down.
"Call me king," he says, touching my lower body.
"And why do you want me to call you king?"
"I'll show you."
He was about to kiss me when the kids come out of the bathroom and climb onto the bed, interrupting us.
They lay between us. Maxon bites his lip, looking at me. I shrug and mouth "sorry."
He turns off the light and we go to sleep.
