Part 1:
Imagine being a good friend of Rufus Taylor. That was the reason you got to hang out with Queen a lot, you were even invited to go touring with them. Since you were a huge fan, you gladly accepted, excited for what you were going to experience. However, you didn't expect to experience what you did in the end.
Naturally, you had gotten a backstage pass and could go wherever you wanted whenever, which you made excessive use of. During the first show, you sat backstage in awe, thinking about how lucky you were. You had your eyes on Rufus, but also Brian, because he fascinated you quite a bit and he was an amazing guitar player.
Back at the hotel, you walked up to him and told him just that, making him blush lightly. He thanked you and invited you to sit with him, which you gladly did. You two chatted on about a lot of different things, surprisingly getting along together very well. However, at some point you had gotten very tired and excused yourself, making your way to your hotel room. That was repeated over the next following weeks, you and Brian chatting until late at night, sometimes you were joined by Rufus.
This evening, however, you wanted to go to bed early. Just as you had gotten yourself ready, there was a knock on the door. Confused, you made your way over there and opened it, revealing Rufus standing there. "Uh, hey?" You greeted him, finding it a bit odd he would just show up on your door that late.
"Hey, are you alone?"
You furrowed your eyebrows. "Why do you want to know, Rufus?"
He stepped closer to you. "It's just that neither you nor Brian were around, so.."
You chuckled. "So what? You thought I would just have gone off with him, without even telling anyone? I like him, yes, but not like that, Rufus. You should know that, really."
He looked relieved. "Oh, good. Well, may I come in?"
You shook your head. "Sorry, I'm off to bed. I'm tired, I want to sleep longer for a change. We'll hang out tomorrow, okay?" With that you wanted to shut the door, but he put his foot in between.
"Please?"
You shook your head again. "No, Rufus. I'll see you tomorrow." You gave him a quick peck on the cheek, before he let you shut the door and you went to bed, falling asleep immediately.
The next morning, you were woken by a knock on the door. Groaning, you got up and opened it, revealing a smiling Rufus.
"Hey, it's tomorrow now. And we have some time off, do you want to come with me?"
You just stared at him dumbfounded. "What is wrong with you? I was asleep."
His expression dropped immediately. "Uh, sorry, I'm – I'll just go again, sorry."
You wanted to reach for his arm, but he had already walked away. You stood there, not quite knowing what to do. Suddenly, you could see Brian walking towards you.
"Hey Y/N! What are you doing up so early?"
You shook your head. "Rufus woke me, apparently he wanted to go out right now. And I'm not a morning person, so I probably scared him off."
Brian chuckled. "Don't worry, he'll be fine. I'm about to get breakfast, do you want to join me?"
You shrugged. "Uh, sure, just give me a second, I need to get ready, okay?"
He nodded. "I'll be waiting here, take your time, dear."
You closed the door once more and made yourself presentable, before walking downstairs with Brian's arm around your shoulder, chatting with the guitarist. You two ate breakfast together and were just about to go back upstairs, when you could see Rufus. "Wait, Brian, excuse me for a bit, but I gotta talk to him. You can go back though, you don't need to wait for me." You hugged him, before marching over to the blonde.
