[57] Brian May Imagine - The Sixth Date 6

"Brian, you really wouldn't. I promise." I knew this was a big step, sleeping in the same bed when we hadn't even kissed, but there was no way I was going to let him sleep on blankets. I was the one causing this problem, so if anyone should be taking the more uncomfortable sleeping space it would be me. However, I knew Brian would never allow that because he was such a well-mannered guy, so the only compromise really was sharing a bed.

It wasn't the way I had imagined sleeping next to him for the first time would happened, but sometimes life really made the decisions for you and you should go along with it. Who knew, maybe this was what would make it turn good? Maybe doing things the way we wanted them to be would end up ruining what we had, so a little spontaneity never hurt. At least that was my opinion, and I hoped he shared that opinion, at least somewhat.

"Okay," he finally said, smiling a little at me. "But only if you're really sure, because... uhm... well... I-I like you a lot and I would like to share a bed with you but I also really don't want to ruin this by rushing or... making you uncomfortable. I have a talent for those things, I know that, and I just... I want to make extra sure, you know?" He had come to stand in front of me and gently placed his hands on my arms, rubbing them gently.

He was so adorable. I stood on my tiptoes and softly kissed his cheek, placing my hands on his arms as well. "You did. I appreciate that, but ... you really wouldn't be making me uncomfortable. If that should happen I promise I'll tell you."

It took another moment before he sighed, seeming very relieved as he nodded. "Okay. Okay, yes, well... uhm in that case we can do that," he said rather quickly, apparently a sign of nerves. "You... would you mind helping me tidy everything up again? I know it's a lot to ask so feel free to say no."

"Of course I can help you. Just tell me where everything goes." Actually that was a good thing because he wasn't the only one who seemed slightly nervous, I could feel the adrenaline starting to rush through my body. It had been a very long time since I'd shared a bed with a guy just like that. Well, this wasn't 'just like that', he was definitely more than just any guy, he was special, but this wasn't us sharing a bed because we had sex. It was very different from that but I was honest I was looking forward to it so much.

Brian told me where everything went and together we managed to tidy everything up in surprisingly short time. When the bed was in a state in which it could be slept on again, Brian turned to me and handed me clothes. "Uhm... this is what I found for you... I hope it fits, but if not please tell me. There are alternatives.."

"Okay, thank you," I said, taking the clothes from him. "I'll let you know how they fit. I'll be right back," I said, returning to the bathroom to get changed. The shorts fit just fine but the shirt was a little tight in certain areas because Brian was one of the thinnest people the world had ever seen and as a woman certain parts of my upper body took up a little more space. But it was still acceptable, I could tell he had made the effort to find something a little wider for me. I didn't feel too exposed, so I folded up my clothes and returned to the main room.

Brian had gotten changed in the mean time as well, and even though I could see him giving me a once over - not just once - he didn't make any suggestive comments. He simply asked if everything fit fine, to which I replied that it did. He went to brush his teeth and so on, while he did that I picked up the Stellar Atmospheres book again and sat on his bed, reading a little more of the introduction.

It only took a few minutes until Brian came out of the bathroom again, dressed in shorts and a washed out Beatles shirt. With that outfit and a smile on his face he looked adorable, I wasn't really sure how he did that but I loved it. I closed the book and smiled back at him.
