KAYLE

I frowned. "What do you mean?"

He laughed. "Wala."

"Whatever," I rolled my eyes.

We spent a few more minutes looking at our throwback pics until he decided to go home.

"Thanks Kayle," he said on our way downstairs.

"For?"

"The pictures. It's slowly getting into my head. I may not be able to remember things clearly, but I can already see blurry parts of my memory from the past."

I shrugged. "My pleasure."

"Anyway, pupunta ka pa bang school?"

Damn!

"Oo pala! Nakalimutan kong may pasok ngayon," napasapo ako ng noo. Masyado pala akong naging preoccupied sa mga nangyari at nakalimutan ko.

He laughed. "So ano? Nagtext sakin sina Wade, nasa school na daw sila. Kasama si Cielo."

Tumango ako, "Punta tayo."

Dali-dali akong naligo—damn ano kayang itsura ko kanina?

Sumabay ako sa kotse ni Cal at agad kaming dumiretso sa school.

Pagdating dun, pinagalitan kami.

"May plano pa talaga kayong pumasok ah? You're too early for the afternoon classes," sabi ng guro sa harapan.

"We're sorry, ma'am."

We walked inside and sat on our seats.

"Anong oras pala kayo dumating dito?" tanong ko kay Cielo.

"Pagkatapos kong maligo, nagpahatid na agad ako dito eh. Kayo? Ba't ngayon lang kayo?"

"Pumunta pa si Cal sa bahay eh. Tiningnan 'yung pictures."

"Ulit?" gulat niyang tanong. "Anong nangyari?"

"Ayun, okay naman. Hindi sumakit ulo niya. May nakikita na daw siyang iilang nangyari dati."

Nakahinga siya ng maluwang. "Buti naman."

"So, class listen up."

We focused our gazes infront.

"We will be having a leadership summit at Baguio City this coming weekend."

Cielo and I shared a grin.

"Omg! Excited na ako, sis!" niyugyog niya ako.

"Aray."

"But not all of you can join," she added.

Everyone stopped.

"Aww," my classmates said in chorus. "Bakit naman ma'am?"

"Only five students from each year level are required to join. One should lead and the other four will be representatives. Any volunteers?"

Everyone raised their hands.

We looked at Wade.

"Wade," I called out.

He looked at me. "Oh?"

"Go, join. I know you deserve the spot.""

He shrugged and raised his hand.

The teacher scanned her eyes on the class, and her gaze landed on Wade.

"Okay, Mr. Santiago, I bet you want to be the team leader?"
