I woke up happy as can be. IT'S CHRISTMAS!!!!! I could smell chocolate chip pancakes from down stairs. I raced out of Johnny's room and slid down the railing to the bottom of the stairs. I ran into the kitchen and almost tackled Johnny into a hug. "MERRY CHRISTMAS, JOHNNY!" I screamed at him. He just laughed. "Merry Christmas, Jennie." He said back smiling. "Are they done, yet?" I asked looking over his shoulder. "Yes, but I have to make the eggs and bacon." Johnny said and glanced at me when he said bacon. "BACON!!!" I screamed in delight. "I'm going to take a quick shower while you finish cooking." I said and jogged out of the room. "Turn on the radio!" Johnny yelled after me and so I did. I turned it up full volume, blasting the Christmas music. I knew Johnny wouldn't mind, we both like our music loud. I ran up the stairs and put on the radio in my room too, so I could hear it better up hear. I grabbed some clothes and some body wash I had gotten a while back and ran into the bath room, leaving the door open a little to hear the music. I undressed and hopped in the shower. I washed my hair and then my body with my peppermint body wash. I smelled like a candy cane. I wrapped the towel around my body before stepping out. I dried off and wrapped the towel around my hair to help dry it. I put on my under garments, obviously, and then I pulled on a pair of black skinny jeans and a white tank top. I left the rest of my outfit in my room. I brushed my teeth and then applied some eye liner and mascara to my eyes before taking my hair out of the towel and brushing it out. I left my bangs out and pulled the rest into a loose braid going onto my left shoulder. My bangs swooped down onto my forehead and covered some of my right eye. It looked really cute in the mirror. I did a pose to the best of Jingle Bell Rock on the radio, but I noticed something in my reflection when I put my hand on my hip. I looked down at my hands and saw that my nails were gross looking without nail polish on them. I made a disgusted face. I knew I probably wouldn't have time to paint them before Pony's. I just shrugged and walked out into my room. I pulled on a pair of ankle socks and then laced up my navy blue vans. I grabbed my red beanie and placed it loosely on my head and wrapped my tan scarf around my neck. I grabbed my sweater before turning off the radio and racing down stairs to go eat some breakfast. I slid down the railing and landed on the floor scaring Johnny a bit. "You're fast today." He yelled over the music. I furrowed my brow and looked at the clock; it wasn't even seven thirty yet. I shrugged turning back to Johnny as he handed me my plate. I wolfed down the breakfast as he did the same and we dance to the music for a little while. There was a knock at the door. Johnny went to answer it and I turned the music down a little. Sure enough it was Shaun. Now the music was just loud enough where we didn't have to shout at each other over it. "Merry Christmas, Jennie and Johnny." He said and shook Johnny's hand before pulling me into a hug. "Merry Christmas, Shaun." We said back at the same time. "I know we promised no gifts but I saw this and I could resist getting it for you, Jennie." He said and handed me a bag. "I found it in Ireland." Shaun explained and I opened it up. Inside were a few bottles of nail polish. I pulled one out. "It's a really good brand. It dries quickly and doesn't chip as easy. There's a bottle of base and top coat in there too." He said and I smiled at him. I pulled him into a hug, "Thank you, Shaun. I need to paint my nails anyways." He smiled back. "What time did you end up leaving the Curtis house last night?" Johnny asked. "I don't know, somewhere around one o'clock maybe two?" He said thinking, "They said they weren't going to bed just yet, so they're probably not up." "I know they aren't, Darry gets up first at eight and Ponyboy and Soda don't get up until around nine." I said and Johnny and Shaun nodded. "Can you two help me do my nails it can save me like at least an hour?" I asked and Shaun nodded right away, but Johnny hesitated before sighing and nodding also. I smiled and handed them each a color. I had them paint it in a pattern. Red then white and it would continue. After they were done being painted it was dry within five minutes. "Damn, I love this stuff." I said and examined my nails. Shaun did the top coat for me and my nails were perfectly shiny and smooth. "Alright guys, I'll talk to you later. Have a nice Christmas." Shaun said and he left after giving me a quick hug. "Come on Jennie, the guys will all be heading over there about now so we should get going." Johnny said, shutting off the radio. I stood up and pulled on my sweater. It was black, white and red and patterned with reindeer, snowflakes, and stripes and zigzags. It was just like a coat almost but didn't zip up or button, or even had a string to hold it together. I love it and wore it almost all the time around Christmas. The boys haven't seen me wear it yet. I grabbed my skateboard. "Jennie, take your blade and is there room for two on that thing?" He asked and handed me my blade. "No I don't think so, unless you ride on my back." I said and he shrugged at that. "You're strong enough." He said and I rolled my eyes. "Wait until we get outside and then you can get on." I said and we walked outside. I placed my skateboard down on the ground and placed my right foot on it to hold it in place. "Hop on." I said sighing and I bent down a little. Turns out, Johnny was easier to carry than I thought. I'm not saying that he's fat; I'm just saying that I'm weak. I pushed off on my skate board, heading to Pony's.
