You were just going down the stairs from the girls dormitory when you heard hushed whispering. Creeping down the stairs, you eavesdropped and heard three familiar voices; Harry, Ron and Hermione.
" - can't just sneak out of here without getting caught Harry!" You heard Hermione speak up. Peering around the corner of the statue you had hidden behind, you noticed Hermione sitting on the couch and the boys on the floor in front of her.
"I have no choice Hermione! I swear, we wont get caught. Now, don't mention this to (y/n) because she might get hurt we're not taking her and we don't want that." Hearing Harry speak in a soft but stern whisper, you decided you heard enough and made yourself known.
"Whatever you were planning on hiding from me didn't work." You whispered out loud, angered by how they could just toss you to the side and hide things from you after already going through hell and back with them for the stone the previous year. Hermione, Ron and Harry all looked up at you in surprise. "Don't act like I didn't hear your conversation. Where were you all going without me?" You asked more sternly, not even bothering to whisper.
"(Y/n), we were.." Harry sighed so he looked to Hermione who looked to Ron who looked at the ground. Glaring at them, you nodded once before saying "I see. I'm not worthy enough of being trusted because I haven't been friends with you guys since oh, the first day of school!" You yelled out, tears threatening to spill from your eyes. Not because you were sad, but because of how undeniably angry you were. When you saw none of them move, you shook your head in disbelief.
"Fine." With that, you stalked out of the common room and started wondering around aimlessly. Going up to the Astronomy tower, you sat down and looked out onto the horizon where the sun was starting to rise, not realizing you had been up this late but thankful it was a Saturday.
"(Y/n)?" You heard a familiar voice call out that made your heart flutter for some reason but you shook your head. "(Y/n), we're so sorry. I'll tell you what we were planning to do. We were making a surprise party for you." Ron whispered softly before coming and sitting by you. You sighed and faced him, nodded then turned back around. Wrapping you in his arms, he laid his head against yours as you continued to watch the sunrise.
"I- I have something to say to you." Ron said softly to which you hummed in response. "(Y/n) its been a crazy year. Yeah, we're only twelve but it feels like I've known you all my life and..." He trailed off as you gazed at him and saw his cheeks turn brighter than his hair. "(Y/n) I seriously like you. I don't know how I should feel but you make me happy and smile like no one else." Ron spoke quietly.
"R-really?" You stuttered, shocked he had feelings for YOU! "Yes. I wasn't sure how I felt until I saw you storm off from us. I don't want you to be sad or angry anymore. I want to protect you. To hold you." He spoke sadly, pulling you in for a hug. You smiled and hugged back. Pulling away, you kissed his cheek before letting him hug you tighter.
"I'm so sorry (y/n)." Ron whispered over and over again, you comforting him as he held a sad gaze trying not to cry.
