As Shawn eagerly wait for the bus to pick him up, he thinks about yesterday and how he was sure how he wouldn't make any friends. He already had plans of sitting in the library for the rest of the school year.
After a few minutes, the bus approaches Shawn, and he gets on, as he sits down he feels his phone vibrating in his pocket. It was his, should he call them friends? Well, they did kind of say they could be friends. His new friends were blowing up his phone. Usually, he would find it a tad bit annoying, but now he doesn't mind at all. Before he answer them, he sends a quick text to Jenny
Shawn: morning! I hope you're alright! have a great day
She hasn't responded to his texts since yesterday, and maybe he could call her. But then again he doesn't want to seem annoying. Instead, he opens the new group chat he was added to
John: GUESS WHAT
Noah: what
John: It's Friday!! :DD
Jessica: no shit sherlock
John: don't be mean :(
John: funny that my name is John lmaoo
Emily: that's the only reason I'm your friend
Emily: because your name is John
John: oh
Noah: I dont get it
Jessica: noah.. wyd..
John: then why the heck did you say that omg
Noah: i just hear a lot of people saying it
Shawn: I didnt know you guys liked Sherlock! I love all the films, especially the tv show
John: fuck yes the tv show
Noah: seriously I dont get it
Emily: we'll show you later noah
Jessica: the show is so gay I love it
Shawn: John and Sherlock are gay
John: John and Sherlock are gay
Shawn: wow
John: wow!
Jessica: damn, just date already
Shawn feels his cheeks get warm as he turns his phone off. He steps off the bus, and his eyes land on his friends who are talking to each other. Except for John who is looking around, Shawn debates on whether to approach them or just head to class. Before he decides, John is already waving at him. Shawn wondered if that meant to come over or was it him just saying hi?
Shawn decides to walk over to them, trying to not making eye contact with John. He starts to feel strange; his legs start to shake slightly. His legs would shake when somebody is watching him walk, for some reason, Shawn gets insecure about the way he walks. He mentally laughs at himself.
As he gets closer, he hears Jessica and Emily talk about Sherlock to Noah, who knew nothing about it. "... it's a book that was then made into films and tv shows." Emily explains to a confused Noah. "Yes and we mostly like the modern Sherlock, which is a British tv show," Jessica adds. Noah nods his head, "Oh I see, well I guess I can watch it later. Hey Shawn!" John moves over slightly so Shawn can fit in their little circle.
"Hey guys. What's up?"Before one of them can answer the bell rings. The two girls groan as they get up from the bench. "These two were telling me about Sherlock." Noah tells Shawn. They start walking inside, and they stop in the middle of the hall where they go their separate ways. "Well, Emily and I are going to go this way, see you guys at lunch!" Jessica starts walking away with Emily beside her.
