Sherlock's POV -
I saw Lestrade getting out of his car, this meant he had a case for me.
"I need a break, I know a cafe we can go to, grab your coat" I said to Sophie
She did so obediently, leaving the room.
I turned to look out the window, something I did often when thinking deeply, this time it happened to be about the current occupant of my spare room. He cleared his throat loudly announcing himself. I didn't even turn around to face him.
"What have you got for me today then?"
"Sherlock, I don't know how to say this but...the woman...she's back...and I know it will be difficult with your past and everything but we need you to help us..."
I perked up at the sound of her name, images flashing through my head. A small smile formed on my lips as I remembered our time together.
"Are you certain?" I asked just to be sure
"Absolutely" Lestrade replied
"Alright, I'll do it as long as you promise me one thing?"
Lestrade looked expectantly at me
"Keep Sophie safe"
