Episode 5: First Period of Magic school (Olivia)

Standing by me was a red-haired boy.

He had a large smile.

His grin was like a child's.

It radiated warmth.

"Can I sit here?" he repeated.

"No need to ask," said another boy. "It isn't like she owns the place."

He had medium long hair.

It was a dark blue like the late night sky.

The first boy pouted.

"She might not like being bothered."

"It's fine," I said, smiling. "Sit."

The two boys took a seat next to me as the teacher walked toward the center of the class.

He was a tall, muscular, young man.

The look in his eyes, however, was of a person who's lived long.

"We will begin curtailing the number of students."

What?

The center of the gym was divided into four areas.

"Pick two teammates," he ordered.

"Choose wisely. Now, stand!"

We all stood up as ordered.

All of us remained silent as we eyed one another.

For a great deal of us were now enemies.

Only a handful of us would remain after this was over.

"Want to join us?" the red haired boy asked, grinning.

Didn't he understand the situation?

"What's your magic?" I asked.
