Suddenly a massive shock-wave rumbled the entire city even though we were now thousands of miles away from my home.

"This is it," Alex said, leaning against the wall as the lights flickered off.

I shook my head. "No, we can't let it end here!"

Suddenly the shaking came to a stop.

"Thank the Goddess, it finally stopped," Elliot said, smiling. His eyes narrowed. "Everyone, step away from the door."

"What? Why?" Alex asked, standing up.

"There's a lot of dust outside. We might not have much time left, we need to assess clean air."

"I can form a barrier," said Xun. 

"And I'll fly us to someplace safe," Isabelle said.

"That's a good idea," Elliot said. "Let's go."

Xun formed a barrier around us and we all stepped outside where a cloud of dust covered the everything. It was hard to tell if it was night or day.

"You sure that you'll be able to fly safely like this?" Ryan asked.

Isabelle nodded and turned toward Elliot. "He can push away the dust." She crouched down and transformed back into her bird form. "Alright, time to get going."
