Keith smiled at me.

"So, how about it? Will you allow me to join you?" he asked.

I narrowed my eyes. "Why?"

He shrugged. "Just for the sake of adventure. I've already explored nearly every single part of this tiny world. I wish to see a new one, none better than the imperial capital, right?"

"He has a point," Isabelle said.

"If Keith is going then allow me to go too," Xulan said. "I don't particularly trust him."

Keith crossed her arms over and chest and glared at him. "What, afraid I'll steal your woman?"

"S-she's not my woman," Xulan said, lowering his head.

I grumbled. "Yeah, I'm not!"

Keith walked even closer to me. "Well, then if she's not taken then I guess I'll take her," he said, grabbing me by the waist.

I slapped his hand away and kicked him in the knee.

"Ouch! That hurt you know!"

"Do that again and I'll kick you somewhere more painful, got it?" I said, glaring at him.

He chuckled. "Well, at least I wasn't wrong about you being a feisty one."
