"Feeling homesick?" Cait asked as he sat down next to me.

I had been staring off at my world while the others continued to attempt to recreate the old lives.

I nodded. "I wonder how long it'll take, for everything to return to normal. My one hope, it was dashed."

"Sorry," he said.

I glanced up and saw that he was looking away.

"Why are you apologizing? It's not your fault."

He sighed. "I am the one who raised your hopes, knowing that there was a possibility that the mechanism might not be in working order."

"I was the one who hounded you to take me there," I countered.

He took a deep breath and raised his eyes to my now dust covered world. "You'll fix it. I can feel it. You have a power unlike any I've come across before."

I raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

He turned toward me and smiled. My face redded as I stared at it. He was already handsome so the smile only made him look even more attractive.

"I am not all that certain to be honest. I guess it'll be better to call it a hunch."

A hunch, huh?
