Episode 44: Cocoon of Vines (Olivia)

I covered my mouth with the collar of my blazer, to prevent breathing in the thick dust.

Ryan unleashed his ghosts on the vines, having them cut the plants down to size. 

"Look out!" he yelled. He ran over and pushed me to the ground.

He winced, and that was when I saw that a vine had gotten his right arm.

Standing up, her yanked the vine around and spun around to see a brunette girl standing in the center. In her hands was a gold and silver naginata with a black shaft. Rising from the hole behind her was a pistachio-haired girl. This new girl grinned as her vines twirled around in the air.

"Thalia," Ryan shouted. The cloud of dust on her side was so thick that neither of us could see.

I glanced back and lowered the shroud, allowing the dust to escape into the open air. 

Lightning, ice, and metal shrapnel came pouring down from the sky as soon as I did.

Isabelle melted the latter two but the lightning was too quick. Thankfully Ryan's spirits provided us with their support, taking the blunt of the attack.

I pushed myself up, noticing that Thalia was caught in a cocoon of vines.
