Episode 99: Clash of the Dragons

I covered my body with a shroud of darkness and followed after my mom.

"I told you to stay away," Mother yelled over the sound of rushing wind.

"I can't. Father might be in trouble."

Another shockwave shook the air, sending both of us flying.

"Damn," Mother said, lowering her head. Blood dripped down her lips. "We got to get as far away as we can. Those two are going to destroy the planet at this rate."

"The... the planet?" I asked, wide eyed. "Who's fighting my dad?"

"Your uncle."

I gasped. "You mean... But, how can both of them be this strong?" 

Mother grabbed me by the arm and pulled me away. "Those two are demi-gods. They harbor the blood of the gods of the realm of the dragons."

"Blood of the dragons, then that means that Jason and I..."

She nodded. "Yeah. He and you both have the blood of gods coursing through your veins." 

The sky overhead rumbled as the thickest and darkness cloud I'd seen in my life gather around the pillar piercing through the sky.

"But, why would father and uncle be fighting to this degree?"

"I'm not sure," Mother said as she sped up.

Two mighty roars caused the heavens to tremble once more.
