Episode 139: A Day of Hard Work (Ryan)

"Hey! Ryan!" Isabelle yelled as she ran toward me. Following toward her was Thalia.

"Hey, heading back? How was the harvest?" I asked, wiping the sweat off my face. I had just finished making a building to serve as a storage house.

"It was alright," Thalia said, avoiding looking straight at me.

I tilted my head as I put down my hammer. "Is something the matter?"

"No, I'm just feeling tired," she said, putting a hand over her eyes.

Isabelle chuckled. "I don't think that's it."

Thalia started to walk on ahead without her.

"Hey! Wait up, Thalia!"

I scratched my head. What in the world was that? The girls sure had been acting oddly these days...

I turned and stretched my arms toward the dark sky and smiled. The cool night breeze cooled down my body. It was good to get another day of hard work done. Though it seemed as though Isabelle, Elliot, and I were the only ones fully invested in it. Olivia, Alex, Thalia, and Jason seemed out of it.
