Riley, a college student, has a slight crush on a stranger she saw at the food joint. The stranger turns out to be a dance teacher Ryan Higa, who is her senior.
Chemistry ignites in the dance practice and sparks of misunderstanding began to fly. Th...
(I ran over and caught Riley. There she was in my arms slowly falling unconscious. Flashback: Sister is in my arms and mom is laying at the side. )
And I woke up screaming and covered with sweat. I was distracted by the alarm. My cellphone flashed and I could see Riley's photo as my screensaver. I clicked it yesterday. Her smile makes me forget everything else.
And I reminded myself not to fall for her because people leave in the end. I changed it. Then it struck me that she left her bicycle in her college. Good thing I told the chauffeur to bring my car when I parked the bicycle outside her house.
I got ready and picked up some flowers on the way because the time I spent with her gave me peace. I wrote the tag. And I thought writing my name was weird as I remembered that she still thought I was an arrogant guy. So I made an angry face instead. I drove to her home and dropped the flowers in her basket and waited outside in my car that was parked across hoping she didn't notice me.
Then I saw her house door open. She got up early and was watering the plants. She looked amazing. She came over to the bicycle surprised. She started to giggle after reading the tag. And I decided to get to the hall to continue my practice.
Then at the reporting time, she entered and her eyes caught mine in the reflection of the mirror. She smiled at me and I knew that she had caught me driving by the house. And suddenly her friend Marcus came and hugged her. It felt like something stung me. And I left. I told myself to focus on the class and not waste time over a girl. Then I started my class keeping my mission in mind.

I was feeling better today and hoping that Sir Ryan didn't start again with the props. Then he announced that we will be free-styling today. It was a different one because it wasn't a planned dance. And at first, he asked us to dance to the song. Like whatever we felt like listening to the music. For me, it was a reminder that if its not pre-planned then its a flop.
But Marcus stepped in. We did a bit of waltz and switched to tango. We were dancing great. I didn't think anything because with him I forgot the pain. He was really my true bestie. At the end of the session, Ryan made another announcement. He said that there is a small test in the audition hall where we have to perform a self choreographed dance. You can select any style you are comfortable. And our friends from the other two classes will be joining the hall as an audience. That will give you the first experience of a performance. And my face frowned.
Not again! I said to myself and headed home. The rest 3 days were off for practice and we could use the rehearsal hall if we needed. I hopped back on the couch wondering what to do? I thought maybe girls would give me some ideas. I texted in the group chat. They all came up with different song suggestions and new dance moves. I decided that I will go ahead with freestyle. Now, I was browsing through music and finally found a song.
It was Dessert by Dawin. Lovely song with beats in it. I could easily mix styles and twerk on the beats. Everything was selected. Next morning I put up all the moves together and set the dance. Practised some moves. Girls helped me find good clothes, accessories and prop.
2 days until the doomsday. I messaged the girls that they need to be in my place the next day. I wanted them to see my performance and point out if they felt something's missing. And I fell asleep.
Catherine's POV
I got my clothes ready for the next day. And was about to sleep when I got a call. It was a familiar voice on the other end.

Alarm rang and I woke up after snoozing it for 10 mins more. I had my breakfast and cleaned the house as all were coming here in the evening. I did the stretching exercises and practised some expressions in the mirror. Finally I was ready and I heard the door bell ring.
Me: Welcome girls!

Girls: Don't be formal with us. ( and they rushed into their spots on couch.
Me: heyy! I was trying to he a good hostess.
Kina: Get in here, fast. We have news.
Ashley: Yeah, Kina is dying to reveal the latest gossip she heard.
Me: You serious? Stop falling prey to rumors!
Kina: You know, there is something going on with Taylor and your dance guy.
Me: Ryan?
Kina: Yeah
Me: No way. You must be kidding me.
Kina: Everyone knows that Taylor forces herself on guys. Lately, there is a lot of commenting going on their status and pictures.
Me: Taylor is a bitch. But I doubt Ryan has anything to do with it.
Ashley: And how do you know that about him?
Cathy: Because he gifted you flowers?
Me: Stop it!
Ashley , Kina: What? When did that happen?
Cathy: When she wasn't feeling well Ryan took care of her. And the next morning he gave her a bunch of flowers.
Ashley: He came to give it to her?
Cathy: No. He left them with her sweetheart.
Kina: So, he is a shy guy? But he doesn't seem so.
Me: Hello girls... We are here for my dance program and you're discussing him?
Girls: Ooo...someone's blushing.
Me: No...
Cathy: I have an idea. Let's record the dance. This way you won't feel shy of the crowd and we will have a memory of this too.
Kina: great idea Cathy!
Ashley: Okay. Proceed.
I turned on the music and danced. Then we all had dinner and they left for their home.
A/N: It's great when your bestie saves you from an awkward moment. Cheers to Marcus!!!
Riley set the dance up so easily and yet she fears dancing...sounds weird. But now she gotta do that in front of people ! What do you guys feel...how will she fare in the competition? Let me know in the comments below.
Besides, did you all notice Cathy? Whose call was it that she attended? Sounds suspicious!!!
To know what unfolds next, stay glued to the journey ahead!
