Chapter 23

Ididn't want to think about what just happened. But if I consider it, in a way,Alan was right. Do I actually know Ryan well? How did he get a hold of the gunand knew how to use it? I guess I will ask him when the time is right. I justslept on my bed and hugged the teddy bear. The memory of today's kiss made meblush. I never felt such a strong pull towards anyone before. I smiled and wentto sleep. 

Next day morning was my early routine. I got ready for dancerehearsal and reached the class. We all had gathered in the hall, waiting for Ryan to show up. I prepared myself to stay calm even if Taylor tried her best. Ryan finally came in. He asked us to pick partners and get ready for today's lesson. Yesterday was basics, today were dance moves. 

Taylor was ready to step up with him. But instead he called out my name. I had butterflies in my stomach thinking how I would control myself around him. Plus the maddening reaction on Taylor's face somehow made me feel good. You need to be very close while doing the tango. Its one of the sexiest dance styles. Which goes unsaid, it created a new sexual tension between us. The more he held me close, the more aware I became of his body features. His gelled hair, his back, those chiselled arms were driving me crazy.

Ryan's POV

I decided to spend more time with her. So, I made her my dance partner. I thought I could have an easy control over the situation until I pulled her close. It was such a strong pull, like two magnets with opposite poles coming together yet resisting to get connected. I could feel her body, her curves, the softness of her hair, her scent , her lips... All making me insanely attracted to her. Passion flowed as we never left the eye contact. It was just me and her, in that very moment I wished to capture forever. Our song ended with Riley in my arms. The noise of claps around broke my moment. And I started teaching the class about postures and rhythmic body movements.

Taylor's POV

How the hell could she snatch away Ryan from me? I am the hottest girl in the college and he is the sexiest guy. We are perfect together. How dare she ruin our chemistry like that. You will pay for it Riley. Just wait and watch. (Thoughts in mind)

I was waiting in the rehearsal hall after everyone left so that I could meet Ryan. The dance made me feel so special. It was magical than the date. I wish I could stay with him some more time, wrapped in his arms. And I heard noise of doer creaking and excitedly turned back. Marcus!

Ryan's POV

I was entering the hall but the scene at the window caught my attention.

Wait it was her. And who is that other guy? Wait a minute he said something and went down on a knee with a ring in his hand. I hurried to open the window. I heard her saying...

Riley: I am surprised Marcus that you had these feelings. I love you too. Its amazing.

Marcus: That's why I chose you. The best anyone can have is a caring person like you.

And he pulled her with him and they left in his car.

What the hell justhappened? Did she just accept Marc's  proposal... No! But I was about to confess my feelings to her and now this...

Taylor's POV

Hahaha...thank the devil that I forgot my phone and came back here. I witnessed an amazing scene. Its a good chance to pull Ryan back to me. *cell phone buzzes with notification* Status update by Kina..."they all are partying at Marc's penthouse. Woohoo! " photos of Riley and Marcus together....hmmm...the ball is in my court now. You better watch out darling....*evil laugh*

Wereached to his penthouse and it was decorated nicely. A whole party atmosphere.I was surprised to see my group there. Marcus changed his clothes and cameback. Suddenly the lights went off and a spotlight turned on. It was on Marcus.He looked handsome in the Gucci blazer. He walked towards us with one handbehind his back. 

Then he went down on his knee and proposed to Kina. She was in for a surprise. I already knew it cause Marc had practised his lined in front of me this morning. Her cheeks were red by blushing. When he put forth his bouquet of roses, she jumped in excitement. There was a different sparkle in her eyes when she said Yes to Marcus with a big smile. The balloons over them popped and confetti fell down. The Chandelier's light was turned on and the happy couple danced romantically. Awww...so cute! I was missing Ryan so much. Ashley somehow noticed it and started pulling my leg by asking what was brewing between us. I told her everything that happened and how that friendly dinner turned out to be my first date.

Ashley: Haha...I knew it would happen!

Me: Stop acting like a cupid!

Ashley: No doubt I make one hell of a cupid. And when are you going to tell him about your feelings?

Me: Feelings?

Ashley: Don't play dumb. When will you confess to him that he is something beyond a crush!

Me: But I am confused that does he feel the same way about me.

Ashley: What more of a"signal" do you need to make you realize that he feels the same way?

Me: Until he proposes I guess...I don't know. Am confused.

Taylor's POV

Let me just pass a rumor. *downloading image* finally, am ready.

(Walks by and dashes with Ryan)

Me: I am so sorry

Ryan: Did you get hurt?

Me: No. Uhmm...my phone, where did it go?

Ryan: (searches and then finds it) Here, take it.

Me: (shows a picture of Riley and Marcus at the party) they look so cute together, don't they?

Ryan: What rubbish?

Me: Ohh..I thought they were together cause the ring in her hand..Na. It must be something else. OK I gotta go.

Ryan: (frowns)

Mission successful!

A/N: The chemistry between both of them is superb... and seems like both have the same feelings! But wait ...what did Ryan see? Marcus & Riley? And Taylor adding to his suspicion ? No..please! They just found their feelings...why now? I hope Ryan doesn't think of it to be true...what will happen to Riley who is eagerly waiting for his proposal?
