Begins from Marcus and Kina's party
Ashley x Andrew
Ashley's POV
It was amazing to have found him amongst a wide world population. I thought of myself to be more childish, weird and bit of tomboyish.
Until Andrew stepped in, my hormones were in for a toss. Those were the days when I would often wonder that what if he develops a crush on me? I mean that's less likely to happen but the thought gave me butterflies in my stomach.
I had been taking a lot of those dumb online quizzes and reading articles for signs that a guy likes/dislikes you. But all of that was bittersweet as they never answered me and left me more confused than ever. I remember when he asked me out for coffee, I was scrolling wikihow and other sites to learn how to flirt with him and also kiss him. There, I said it.
But let's all admit, we have gone through this at some phase in our lives. I had become more girly than ever and began acting coy.
I remember how I struggled with getting a perfect wing with the liquid eyeliner. Gosh they're a mess!

Andrew's POV
She stood out from the crowd. Not caring much about what people thought and just enjoying her life. When girls were blabbering about their diet and stuffing salad, she was enjoying a big Mac burger with extra cheese and relishing it as if it was her last meal.
Yeah, we guys love music, sports, car and most of all food. She stole my attention with it. I somehow leapfrogged my shyness and talked to her slowly.
Then after sometime, I asked her out for a coffee. I wanted to keep it casual till I cleared my head about how I wanted to take things ahead with her. Slowly, we began hanging out together and realised our interests were the same. We both were creative and would have loved a career in it. Our exchanging notes and having coffee breaks changed to late night talks and finally this crush gained a deeper shade of love!
But I was still confused if she felt the same. Since Marcus had planned to give Kina a surprise, mine needed to be more special and out of the blue. And I made up plans after Ashley returned from her trip to California.

Ashley's POV
I like liked Andrew but was confused regarding this. Is it love or lust? Yes we made out a couple of times and he is a great kisser. But a part of me never felt full. I decided to take a break from the current course of things. I was tired of ruminating these unworthy thoughts and decided to hit the bar few miles ahead.
I emptied two bottles of beer, checked out guys and conversed with those who tried to flirt. But somehow that didn't interest me.
Bottle count : 4
The bar was nearing its closing time and I wanted time to pause. Because flashes from the past had began taking pace. There was a part of me I never revealed...rather never paid attention to.
I was pulled into present by a tap from the bartender who happened to be a girl herself. We chatted a little while we both did 2 shots of tequila. I was impressed by her and in those few moments I felt as if she got me in and out.
She invited me over to her place for a sleep over and I readily agreed. Both of us couldn't drive, so we called a cab. The moment we reached her place, we changed and when we were about to sleep she hugged me.
I felt so alive that moment, her sweet smell captured me unawares and we both looked at each other. Slowly, we moved our faces closer and in a blink of eye, her lips were on mine, gently playing. And the kiss deepened. In seconds our clothes were out and we did it. Yeah, I slept with a girl!
I couldn't sleep the whole night. The past now made sense. The dots connected. Even though I was bit tomboyish...I liked girls. I was attracted to them in a different way. Hanging out with them was great than boys. To mask it off I stayed with guy friends, but I now realised why it felt so real.

Andrews POV
She returned from her trip and looked quite tense. She held my hands and asked me to just listen her out. But Marcus threw a party and we got pulled in it.
[The moment of truth]
She narrated all her incidents and how she made out with the girl she met that night. But her ex returned and it turned out to be a one night stand that changed the direction of her life forever.
"I am gay, Andrew ", she said with a shivering voice.
I was shook and my dreams shattered. But I knew she needed me more. I am her best friend first and shall always be that. I hugged her tight and told her how proud I was. We both sat the whole night talking and cried our hearts out. We decided to stay best friends forever and join the same fields in future. I promised to stay beside her through the pride parade. I don't think anyone in the group will turn a blind eye to her coming out. Instead, they will support her.
"It takes a lot of courage to meet someone in the eye and reveal your true self. And baby you've made me proud to have your company", I said, wiping the tears rolling down her cheek and hugging her.
