Why did Marley pop in between us...like for once I was lost in the spell of his kiss and he broke the spell. But nevertheless, the way he instinctively pulled me below him in a cover was cute.
Argghh.. Why am I thinking so much about it. I came downstairs to look for Anna but she was in her quarters, resting. I was about to go when I checked my reflection on the glass window. I looked so cheerful and cute. And then it hit me back about what happened in the college with Rick. What about him? Did they catch him? Will he be suspended or expelled? Should I even go to college or stay back ...how much time should I hide.. But I haven't done anything wrong.
Goosebumps travelled along my body and I started to feel the chills down my spine. All the emotions.. Fear, shame...started choking me up and I felt my feet tremble. Suddenly, I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned to find Ryan. He was standing, beside me. How could I forget him? He was always my saviour.
Ryan: Are you alright my dear?
Me: (hugging him tight andcrying) I don't know what to feel. I am not guilty, I never wanted to hurtanyone Ryan... But that day everything went wrong. (Sobbing) You kissed me andthen hugged Taylor, she slapped me in front of the whole class, the Rick Ithought fought for me was too evil... And you.. Had you not come in time...(Goes on knees crying) I don't know.. You..you are my guardian Angel. Thank you for saving me every time.
Ryan's POV
I checked my phone. I had missed calls and messages from the Dean. They didn't find Rick. He was being expelled. And there were rumours spreading about me and Riley being together. I had to meet him.
I should go meet him and on the way pick up some dresses for her and her Chinese takeaway that she loves. I changed and went downstairs, only to find her smiling at her reflection. She looked pretty.
Just when I was about to leave, I saw her expression change. She seemed scared like she had seen a ghost. I went near her only to find her burst out completely in front of me. I couldn't see her in pain. But she spoke her heart out. Then she called me her guardian angel.
I pulled her up and cupped her face, wiping her tears with my thumb. I saw her in the eye and told her,"You need not fear anybody. The world doesn't care about you living or dead. If it finds your weakness, it will bend you to your knees. But you are standing in the edge of a cliff and if you don't balance yourself , you fall into a deep abyss and it will get difficult pulling you out. So be the strong woman I know you are. If you didn't do anything wrong, then don't worry. Face them as bravely as you can. "
Riley: If you are with me, I don't fear the world.
This thing pinched me. She still thinks I am her guardian angel, but she doesn't know that if I stay with her, trouble will engulf her too. My past will haunt her too.
I was interrupted by Riley asking me where I was going. I told her I had some official work to do and stay back home till I came back. She nodded and said goodbye.
Goodbye's are horrible. I never liked them anyway. But her smile gave me the hope I would see her again. I smiled and waved back.
POV end.
Ryan seemed preoccupied by work. But what about my house? I decided to visit it. I knew I couldn't go out but I decided to sneak out anyway. I need my clothes at least. But I must appreciate Ryan's choice too. The denim dress I am wearing, suits me to perfection. I should thank him.
But wait, my phone?! I don't have it. All thanks to that stupid Rick who just threw it away..damaged. I wore my boots and escaped through the backdoor. The guard found it normal as I had gone that way earlier too.
Argghh Taylor! Never mind. Focus Riles, focus! His home was at the very end which meant I had to walk till the maim road to find a cab or something. Thank the lord for online payment, I would have died in this scorching heat. After sometime of walking, I booked a cab to my home.
It was nice to see my sweetheart there but it was covered with dust all over. I opened the door and breathed. It felt so comfy back home. I was hungry, so I ran towards the fridge. It was stinking as some foods & milk were spoiled. I took them out to trash.
I went in and started searching which clothes to take home. I mean his home. Our home. Omg! I am officially going crazy. And the laptop was begging me to use it. I began watching some videos when some noises caught my attention. I went out to see, there was a man running behind another. Maybe he stole something or hit him. The man that came running dashed into me a little, not to lose balance and went running. Ugh.. Crazy neighbourhood fights! I went inside.
I realised I was way more hungrier than I thought. I shut down the laptop and decided to cycle back to college and eat something in canteen. I have been craving some sugar! But going to college after what had happened didn't seem right. Oh God! What should I do? Uhm, I had an assignment pending. Maybe I can just go in quickly, grab my books and a bite and run home quickly before Ryan reaches there. I locked my house and walked to the college.
It was already 4 pm and I doubted if canteen was open. I headed to my locker room. I sent goosebumps down my body considering what had happened. I took out the book and Ryan's diary. Yep! I brought it safely here as no one will suspect it. And kept it in my bag which also had some emergency money for food and travel. I thanked myself for thinking so much into the future. Jk!
A/N: Big chapter phew...
Ryan inspired her to stand for herself. Besides, the more someone tells us to follow rules, the more we tend to break it. She didn't sneak out and go home but also went alone to college. Damn gurl...calm down.
But again Ryan is worried that his past will haunt their present. Will he sacrifice his relationship with Riley for it?
To know what unfolds next, stay tuned.
Thank You :)
