Anna hurried near us and seeing Ryan leave, her face formed a huge frown. She began cleaning the pieces and advised me not to ask about his family. That was an emotional scar on him.

Anna: I know you would be wondering why he didn't tell you anything about his family.

Me: Yes

Anna: It was a tragic accident. He lost his mother and sister. And his father committed suicide by shooting himself.

I froze in the moment. My jaw dropped. How can God be so cruel to take away his family all at once? No wonder he was stiff to people. That arrogance was nothing but a facade to prevent hurt in future. He is the sweet Angel behind all of this act.

Anna: He hates when people pity him. So, he chose to stay away from them. He has formed a belief over the years that people leave. So there is no point of expecting anything good from them. He keeps himself detached.

Me: (forming a lump in my throat) He has been hurt so much. And I poked him again. I am so dumb. I should've stopped it right there.

Anna: Don't worry dear, he will be alright. Besides, You're the girl that has captured his mind.

Me: (confused look) I have?

Anna: Since he began teaching dancing, he used to talk about this one student in particular. And his face lit up as if he had experienced peace and relief after years talking about her.

Me: And?

Anna: And the way he described her... You fit exactly into that description. I do believe you can change him for better. Just be patient and don't hurt him.

Me: It is sweet of you to tell me this...I assure you, I won't hurt him.

Anna: Go talk to him insometime.

Me: Sure.

I was pacing around thehall. It was close to 10 pm. I decided to keep Taylor's issue out of it. Iwanted to be there for him. I needed him. And he needed me. Period. I musteredup courage to look for him. And started searching for him in different rooms. Not in his room. Not in guest room. Not in kitchen.

There were three more. One of them was a girly room. It had a photo of his sister and mother. I was almost fighting back my tears as the room was preserved well. The next room I entered was the master bedroom. It belonged to his Mom and Dad. A cute family photo was lying upside down. I brushed off the dust to see them all four together smiling 'cheese' for a pose.

Ryan...his smile looked so innocent and fulfilling. I walked out. The next room greeted me with books...it was a big library. So silent, I could hear my footsteps and get scared myself.

I went in one of the columns and saw Ryan reading one of the books. He noticed my presence but didn't say anything. I shifted to the next column and was surprised to find the unabridged versions of Sherlock Holmes novel. But it was a bit high. I pulled forward a stool and stood up on it. Yet I was falling few inches short. I raised my heels to reach and pull the book forward.

Ryan: Careful Watson!

Me: No need to worry. I got this Sherlock.

Ryan: The leg of the stool is broken.

Me: Just a sec.. I almost got....aaahh

(Some of the books fell on me and I lost my balance. )

Noooo... And suddenly I fell in his arms. He caught me in time. I held him tight and wrapped my arms around him to subside my fear.

Ryan's POV

She never listens to me. The perfect Watson. Even after a warning by Sherlock, he loves to attract trouble. So is she.

I was worried that she might get hurt but she was busy proving that she can remove the book all by herself. I heard the books fall and rushed by her to catch her in time. Guess Sherlock is used to saving Watson every time.

She fell in my arms and held me tight with her eyes closed due to fear. Her nails were almost digging my skin. And later she just wrapped her arms around me. We were close. So close that not even air passed between us. I could feel her beating heart against mine. That was a new experience. As if my whole body yearned for that touch from her. I forgot everything and was lost in the spell of the moment. Slowly, she retracted back and I let her down. My hands were still holding her hips. Those curves suited her to perfection.

Riley: Sorry.. I ...( and I felt a his finger on my lips)

Me: Shh...you know the library is one of the best place to...

Riley: (turning to go) what?

I grabbed her by her hand and pulled her in.

Me: make out!

Being surprised she steppedback. But it was late, the testosterone in my body had kicked in and excitedlyI pinned her to the shelf. Her both hands grasped in one of my palm and theother to hold her chin up, facing me. Before she could speak anything, Islammed my lips on her and the passion reignited. How I missed the touch of hersweet soft lips. That lip gloss added a tinge of flavor. I left her hands andtraced her body from her hips upward. She moved her hands in my hair and pulled me closer. I kissed her more, biting her lower lip, she parted her lips and my tongue slid in. It aroused the flame more. She pushed back since we were both out of breath, gasping for some air.

POV end.

To be continued...

A/N: It's sad to learn about his family.

But wait...library...books...kiss and make out? Well that escalated quickly!

There is more to the scene...stay glued for the next chapter!
