I went out and signalled Riley to come out of the car. She came running and hugged me tight, as if it was the world's end. I rubbed her back assuring her safety and then cupped her face, kissing her forehead.
'I have less than a week to try out all alternatives. I don't want leave Riley. But if I am selfish, she goes down with me.' My thoughts broke as I heard the police siren. They did their investigation sweep. I asked the officers if they could let Riley go and I would do the follow up at station. I called up my chauffeur and asked him to take Riley home safe. I went to the station and filled in details about the break in. Then I had another task to do: revive my contacts to catch hold of the guy.

Was I shivering because of the A.C. in the car or from what just happened back there? I felt the tears dry on face. What was happening? First I got kidnapped, then Rick and now a break in? Is it those gang members whom Ryan got arrested or is Rick back? I was feeling nauseated already. Then I realised Anna calling in for me and the chauffeur held the door open for me to walk out. Wait...when did I reach home? I was confused with these mixed feelings.
She asked me to change and began preparing dinner. Dinner, I thought to myself... Few minutes before I was dying of hunger and now I wasn't able to eat. Yet, I dragged myself up somehow. I went to his room, and opened his cupboard. I saw a fresh pair of cute girly dresses. All this for me? I kept wondering... Does he like me or does he love me? But he is super rude! What if he feels that he is just doing a favour? Should I leave his place and go stay with Cathy? He had asked me to pick a different room... Maybe I am trouble. Since we both came together, something bad always happened. I picked up my bag and went to the guest room. I was changing to my night clothes..a tank top and comfy shorts. But something fell... A locket! Who gave it to me? It's Ryan who bought me the dress. Is it a gift? It was a beautiful silver chain with a heart shaped pendant and pink crystals studded on it. Like it had been preserved with care.

What kind of a collection does he own? I kept it safely in my bag. Then went down to have dinner.
I saw Ryan already in his T-shirt and tracks with plate ready to eat. I sat opposite to him and Anna served us some rice balls and dip to eat. Ryan asked her to go rest and he will take care of the dishes. She asked him to let her stay till we finish our food but Ryan persisted and she retired to her quarters. I tried to eat but the thought of who that person was lingered on and I didn't realize when Ryan walked up and sat beside me. He fed me the dinner and narrated how this was one of his favourite dishes. I mentally noted to learn this dish from Anna when Ryan wasn't home. We took the dishes inside and I washed them. Ryan prepared chocolate milk for us and led me upstairs into his room.
Me: Give my glass, I shall go to my room and drink it. Thanks and Goodnight. Ryan: Don't be silly, its our room! Come in. Me: Last night I remember you throwing me out... Ryan: (heading inside) I said come in. I hesitantly entered and he locked the door. Me: What are you doing Ryan? Ryan: Spending some quality time with you sweetie! Me: (shocked and blushing) Sweetie? Who sweetie? Ryan: (being kawaii) My baby Riles, come with me...let's watch your favourite series and drink some chocolate milk. Come here, sit beside me? Me: Did you hit your head somewhere? Why are you acting ...like.. Ryan:(cuts off) Like what? Me: My boyfriend ...like we are in a relationship? Ryan: You are the closest I have ever been...I want to make up for all my wrongs! Me: You're crazy Ryan!I took his laptop and turned on Kdrama. Ryan: Korean drama? Since when did you speak Korean? Me: There are something called as subtitles my baby boy! Ryan: (reading the title) "My love from another star!" Me: I love Kim so much. Ryan: (fake anger) What? Now you love an alien from the stars? Are we guys on Earth dead? Me: See this..you are just so mean. (Shutting the laptop and leaving) Ryan: (pulling me back to him) Drink the chocolate milk and let me show you how great earthlings can cuddle!
We both drank the milk in a go. Then he pulled me to bed. We were so close and I could feel his breath on mine. He slowly placed a kiss on lips...as gentle as a feather's touch. It made me forget everything and I just flowed the the rhythm of his lips on mine. And then he became the bigger spoon and me the smaller and I enjoyed the warmth coming from his body wrapped over mine. Never had I experienced this form of comfort and cosiness, just peaceful existence in someone's arms. Is it love? Does Ryan feel the same about me? Then I felt his hand tuck in a strand of stray hair behind my ear and then whisper slowly," Silence your thoughts and surrender completely to the present. This is what matters. Me and you. Close. Together" and kissed my cheek. My cheeks were all pink with what I just heard. I felt my heart racing faster. He then kissed my neck and asked me to sleep. This is the chocolate milk speaking....I laughed to myself and slept.
